I’m sure pleanty of you know this, the music in this game is incredible and Austin Wintory is frankly a genius.

My favourite piece of music ever ever is I Was Born for This. I was just having the discussion with someone and I had to gush about my thoughts and I thought some of you might like to hear them :))

.

“Okay ik you don’t really care that much but I wanna give you context <3 then I’ll stop

This is actually the credits music of Journey. The game is really abstract but the idea is you’ve just finished your life and you’ve gone on this whole emotional journey and pilgrimage

The vocals reflect this (ik I’ve mentioned this before) it contains quotes of famous or influential works from across the world all sung in their native language (A Chinese poem, old English, Joan of Arc etc). So both the lyrics and the context are about life. How diverse and emotional it is and how it’s come to an end for now ❤️”

What’s your favourite music from this game or from any other game?

What about that boss fight makes it so special?

Mine is Shadow of the Colossus with Journey as a close second :3

From that you can probably guess that minimalist worlds and beautiful music are right in my wheelhouse xD

I also love SotC because of the bond you grow with Agro, easily best horse in any game, along with the art direction.

I adore Journey for how much emotion it can get out of you in only 2 hours with no dialogue, and also how it shows how strong the connections between people, even strangers, can be.

(Recently been playing Balder’s Gate 3 and is soooo fun!)

Like, I’ve never died to the final wave before but that’s where I’m dying over and over now.

Spent too long trying the gauntlet and now I’m out of shell shards and only have 40 mins left. Should have gone to mount fay earlier
