Amex on gambling sites?

Recently got the Marriott amex card, im attempting to put purchases on the card to get the points that wont lose me any money. I asked an amex agent if casinos count towards this, she said its a cash advance however she said that paypal purchases dont. Could I not use my amex on PayPal and deposit into these sites and then withdraw to another account?

Finally paid off credit cards after 6 years. Credit score came back today in 800s

Finally paid off CC debt after 6 years, credit recovered.

Just wanted to post this here to let people know its possible. Im not trying to brag, but also wanted to answer questions and be REAL and not try to sugar coat anything and say that its super easy, cause it was NOT

After roughly 6 years I have finally paid off around 35k in debt. And althought that may not seem like a lot. It was only about a month ago that my credit cards finally hit a 0$ balance.

I originally took too much of a credit limit on mycredit cards, but also had bills to pay and covid was rough. Had two cards, one at 12k limit and two others at 6k and 8k. Also had a line of credit that was maxed around 5k. Now granted I didnt have them maxed out the entire time I had them but they all had significant balances.

It took me 6 years of painstakingly paying them off slowly, I made sure that I ALWAYS paid them. I never missed a payment. But I slowly reduced the limit as I paid them (although this screwed my credit due to them being close to 100%) but it didnt allow me to use the cards and therefore I never added to the balance. It was rough AF, I also had a bad card payment so I got into a cheaper vehicle.

But finally. After 6 years (this downhill started in 2020) I have paid off all my cards ( I still have some debt like a car) and my credit score has hit above 800 today.

Also I want to say, and people may hate on me for this, I didnt sacrifice experiences. I still did stuff, but I didnt do things that would significantly screw me but I still enjoyed life. I still ate out, went to events, traveled. Could I have paid them off sooner? Probably. But that would have involved being a miserable person for 6 years.

Looking for a family resort.

Hey everyone, looking for recommendations for 3 people (one child) with flights to an all inclusive resort. I would be flying out of Toronto Ontario Canada, looking to go the end of august earliest the 15th. 7 (or maybe longer) days. I have been looking online however most places with all inclusives have a travel warning. My biggest concern is the safety of my child and spouse. I have been looking at cruises but wanted to also take a look into all inclusives. Thanks for the help.
