Age verification: Do you assume age to be at least the age of the account existence?

Regarding EU digital services act and age verification:

Do you assume that the account holder is at minimum at that age as how old the account is?

E.g.: If I have the account since 17 years, do you assume that I am at minimum 17 years old? Would a 19 years old account be considered as adult automatically?

Anyone interested in combined order for accessories/ parts (e.g. battery) from GPD?

I want to order a GPD Win Max 2 battery directly from GPD from China, for shipping to the EU/ Germany.

Shipping costs are quite expensive (due to hazardous material), so combined shipping would be nice.

Are there others in Germany (or maybe the EU) interested in stuff, especially batteries, from GPD, so that we can make a combined order?

Why does `btrfs balance start -dconvert=single -mconvert=dup` fail with `balance: mixed groups data and metadata options must be the same`?

Ahoj,

I have created, several years ago, a BTRFS filesystem on a single partition of a single rotating disk with -d single -m single.

I now wanted to convert to duplicated metadata with

btrfs -v balance start -dconvert=single -mconvert=dup <mountpoint> or
btrfs -v balance start -mconvert=dup <mountpoint>.

Both fail with

Dumping filters: flags 0x7, state 0x0, force is off
DATA (flags 0x100): converting, target=281474976710656, soft is off
METADATA (flags 0x100): converting, target=32, soft is off
SYSTEM (flags 0x100): converting, target=32, soft is off
ERROR: error during balancing '/mnt/backuphdd': Invalid argument
There may be more info in syslog - try dmesg | tail

Kernel log (dmesg) shows

BTRFS error (device sda1): balance: mixed groups data and metadata options must be the same

Why is this not working?
What does the error message mean?

This guide says that it should work.
(I also tried with DUP instead of dup as mentioned in the guide.)

btrfs -v filesystem usage <mountpoint> says

Overall:
    Device size: 2.73TiB

Looking for UMPC that can charge from 5V, min. 8GB RAM. Suggestions?

After I now had my third GPD MicroPC 1 dying, I am looking for some new tiny computer for travel.

  • Size of the GPD MicroPC (7" screen) is ideal for this -- I have a GPD Win Max 2 as a daily driver, but for trekking tours I don't want to take it. 8" would still be OK.
  • It must have: Minimum 8 GiB RAM.
  • It almost must have: Can charge with dumb 5V from any dumb power bank (the GPD MicroPC 1 was great in that regards. It also did charge fine with a low power solar panel on the backpack, without the need for any USB charging protocol negotiation. However, it could negotiate higher charging voltages and currents if the charger supported that). (GPD Win Mini does not fulfill that, and as far as I know GPD MicroPC 2 also does not fulfill that.)
  • Schould have: Replaceable SSD.

GPD MicroPC 1 (also defective) to give away or sell?

Does anyone has a MicroPC 1 (first model; I don't care if first or second "revision") spare to give away or sell for small money?

Also defective device if motherboard is (probably) still OK.

meshcore.co.uk-Map uses meshcore.io map -- why do you allow Andy Kirby to use your infrastructure?

Ahoj,

after the split, there are "meshcore.io" (by the core team) and "meshcore.co.uk" (by Andy Kirby which tries to own MeshCore).

Both have a map:

They seem to have the exactly same data -- so the map seems not to be split up.

Looking in the HTML source code of https://meshcore.co.uk/map.html reveals that they embed https://map.meshcore.io/.

OK! -- So now, /r/meshcore: Why do you allow Andy Kirby to use your infrastructure, if Andy Kirby wants to fight you? Then Andy Kirby has to build it's own map, and people will see only few nodes.

How to switch off client side decorations?

I am using Firefox developer edition, version 151.0b9 (64-bit), on GNU/Linux.

I see that client side decorations did appear (minimise/ maximise/restore/ close-buttons at the right edge of the menu bar).

How can I switch them off? I do not want client side decorations, but use my window manager's (when in fullscreen, they are not visible, when not in full screen, they are in the tiny customised window manager's title bar which still is present.)

Ahoj,

in the official repeater configuration documentation, I find txdelay, direct.txdelay and rxdelay only very briefly documented, like:

> #### View or change the retransmit delay factor for flood traffic > > Usage: - get txdelay - set txdelay <value> > > Parameters: - value: Transmit delay factor (0-2) > > default: 0.5

But what do they actually do exactly?

And what makes rxdelay differing from txdelay?

(What I want to do is introduce a deterministic minimum waiting time of 5 secods before a received flood packet is received. I don't know if that is possible. And I want to generally know what those parameters do exactly and what the mechanisms behind are.)
