Big Event Music

So tomorrow I'm going to this big sports event(orienteering), and I want some music to listen to that gives me vibes. I mostly listen to pre-2000 soft/poprock, some disco(mostly Bee Gees and Modern Talking) and Def Leppard and Bon Jovi too. But everything pre-2000 that gives me vibes is appreciated. Albums are also accepted

Isn't AI silly?

Yep, Phil Gees! So long story short, I wanted for some reason a mix of 100 albums by different artists I like, and two of them were Phil Collins and of course Bee Gees, turns out that Ai that I used was brain disabled, it gave me a mix of 15 made up albums, with names spelled wrong, and mixed up artists!

Sorry for the quality, it was a small screenshot to take!

Does any other artist's album have the same variety as Main Course?

So, I just listened to this super album (again) and was suddenly struck by the variety that this album has to offer!

From Jive Talkin' to Songbird, Nights on Broadway to All This Making love! Not even mentioning Edge of the Universe, Fanny and Wind of Change!

Has anybody ever made a more varied album than this???

What is the best chorus ever?

Now I'm looking for choruses that can only be explained as bangers. To explain what I'm looking for, here are some favourites: Stayin Alive - Bee Gees, Maneater - Hall & Oates, Walk of Life - Dire Straits, Lessons in Love - Level 42 and Brother Louie - Modern talking. I hope you give me some good options for my playlist

Song discussion: All This Making Love

What is your opinion on the song All This Making Love? It is included in the Main Course album from 1975. As usual in these discussions, NO HATE IS ALLOWED. Nobody shall hate you if you call the song their best ever song, and same if you think it's their worst. Feel free to express your opinion! Also let me know if you enjoy these discussions, and feel free to suggest the next discussion!

Album discussion: Living Eyes

Comment an opinion on the album Living Eyes! Every opinion is accepted, you can say that it is their best album, and you can say that it is their worst album by far. But I wont complain!

We crowned the best disco intro ever!

Yesterday I uploaded a post asking for the best disco intro ever, and we got over 70 replies. But one stood out. The comment had over 20 upvotes and multiple replies saying that it was the best. And the song was... I Feel Love-Donna Summer

What is the best disco intro?

What is the very best disco intro ever?

Rules: Must be your own opinion. Must be disco. You can only vote for one. Voting in the comment section: Song-Artist. My vote goes to You're my Heart, You're my Soul - Modern Talking Let the battle begin!

I'm curious, Why is the band called TOTO? I never understood

I'm sure this has been explained earlier, but I have only been here for a short while. So, as a TOTO fan, why is it called TOTO?

Opinions on brand new compilation?

A couple of days ago the compilation Bee Gees Blanket The World was released, and I want YOUR opinion! My personal opinion is that it's really good, and something I will be listening to in the future on spotify. If I can't get my hands on a cd of course!

Why is the lyrics of "Grease" on "Gena's Theme"?

Spotify tells you that the lyrics of Grease by Frankie Valli is also the lyrics of Gena's Theme

Does anybody know why??

Would Spirits Having Flown have been THAT successful if it weren't the follow up to Saturday Night Fever?

I think it would have done well, and probably would have revived their carreer in terms of sale again, if SNF wouldn't have. I do believe one of the three #1 singles would have been number one, but not three. Only my personal opinion!

10 (More) Artists/Bands Bee Gees fans will like

Barbra Streisand, The Hollies, Duran Duran, Olivia Newton-John, The Monkees, ABBA, Frankie Valli (And The Four Seasons), Level 42, Wet Wet Wet, Bonnie Tyler. Big thanks to Unlikely-Star-2696 for ideas. Some people got angry because I didn't include The Beatles and Andy Gibb, but those are a bit obvious

My call to people to stop looking past Modern Talking!

Modern Talking is my favourite pure disco band, hits like Brother Louie and Cheri Cheri Lady is such bangers that I can't understand why Modern Talking only got about 13 million monthly listeners on spotify. Personally I have 6 Modern Talking cds and play them all the time. My second favourite band in general, after Bee Gees.

Above:My favourite album: Ready for Romance, you'll love it
