Built an AOS5 I had cut by cncdrones. Came out really nicely. I swear the orange in the vid is flowers, not oversaturated dead grass lol
Flies amazing. Feel like I can put it exactly where I want in space and so much power coming from smaller quads. Really fun drone!
Had some folks ask for flight vids of the 2S 4" Li-ion build I posted. This is about 2:30 of highlights from 18 minutes of flight.
I swapped out the 4019 Floppy Proppies with Nazgul 4030 props, which while less efficient are a lot more fun at this weight, haha. Still 2 blade props. I hit a little under 18 minutes of flight time with a little over 20 minutes of power on time. Also hit a little branch, lol.
I used a 2 cell 18650 battery holder and soldered it up in series. This is the spare parts build I’ve posted previously.
- Crux35 baseplate
- HDZero AIO15
- 4600kv xing2 1404
- 4019 floppy proppies
- Eve 30PL 60A 3000mah 18650 tabless cells
It took about 17 minutes to fly the pack from 4.1v to 3.5v which is really only about 1/2 to 2/3 of the capacity. Hovered around 42% throttle but still agile enough for flips and snap rolls and no brownouts on full throttle punches.
I’ve always been curious what my quad looks like from the ground. Like how fast it changes direction or moves across the sky. Anybody have a good video from a spectator perspective? I’ve only ever seen it from the onboard perspective and I’ve flown my drone LOS but obviously in a completely different way than with goggles on.
