Methods for edge finding on wood with minimum spindle speed of 9000rpm?

Any suggestions on how to go about locating edges when working with wood on gantry CNCs? I'm used to using traditional edge finders in mills (the kind where a ground cylinder has a spring loaded tip that offsets when it is directly over the edge), problem is, these are only good for about 1000 rpm and the minimum spindle speed on the machine I'm working with is 9000 rpm. I thought maybe I could use one of those electronic touch edge finders, but have learned they need to touch conductive metal to set off the alarm. They also seem to require 3/4 inch collets, the max size for the machine I'm using is 1/2 inch. Any ideas how to find the edge of wood stock? I saw one where it depresses a plunger on the surface and you jog the machine over until the plunger pops out, but if I'm using something like MDF it seems like this method might be a problem with the edge of the MDF being a bit soft so it could lead to some inaccuracy as it could potentially scratch a line down the edge of the MDF.

Does anyone have good recommendation or guidance of how to set WCS in CAM?

This is extremely frustrating how trying to change 1 parameter will influence 2 others IE you want to flip the X axis, so you do but it also flips the Z, or it will re-orient the stock and flip the Y so you are chasing a tail trying to get it to do what you want. Why can you not just set the X, Y and Z individually? Every tutorial I've found is ancient and not-applicable anymore due to Autodesks obsession with constantly changing every work procedure they possibly can.

Can moisture in air cause solvent pop?

My air compressor doesn't have an aftercooler or air drier setup yet, I keep getting solvent pop no matter what I do, the only thing I can think of as a cause at this moment is wet air, but I see lots of comments about how moisture in the air can't cause bubbles in the paint surface...has anyone ever pin pointed small bubbles in the finish to wet air?
Typically I see solvent pop being caused by too fast or a hardener/reducer for the environment temperature or laying the coat on too thick, I've addressed these issues but still get a ton of solvent pop.

Splotchy areas in base coat

Using automotive base urethane (Tamco). I used a wax and silicone free tack cloth on these surfaces, then cleaned the area with a microfiber cloth with duplicolor dewax/degrease surface prep and I have these splotchy areas apear where the paint moves away like it is contaminated with a ton of grease/oil...but I really made sure to wipe these areas good with the degreaser.

Any idea what would cause this? It's happening on both a pre-painted surface, and a raw speed shape with nothing on it. The weird splotch only occured in one spot on the speed shape as a big dot, the guitar body has many smaller ones.

Also: how do I deal with that orange peel? The shop atmosphere is matched to the TDS of the product, I measured the mixing ratio of the products correctly. Gun is set to TDS spec (ANi Compact).
Does it need more pressure to atomize better?

This is making things unwatchable? Anyway to fix this or get a refund?
I have AppleTV.

Class action lawsuit time? What a bunch of nonsense.

Clear coat going on lumpy

Hope this is ok to post, not autobody, but I'm using auto products and you guys are the experts with this stuff.

Using Tamco Euroclear 2 part paint.
Having problems with the paint going on lumpy and also solvent pop.

I'm guessing the solvent pop might be from moisture in the air (I don't have an aftercooler setup yet), but dunno what to make of how lumpy the clear is.
Does clear need to be shot 'full bore' like high pressure, high flow? My spray room is pretty small and doesn't vent super well so I have been dialing the flow back a bit to try and mitigate overspray. This worked well with the color and candy coats I did prior to the straight up clear. I used the same clear for candy and metallic tint and it went on somewhat smooth and seems to be atomizing well at low flow rate, at least way smoother than this:

I used a tiny smidge of retarder with the clear thinking it might solve the solvent pop, but didn't. Any idea how to solve this? Gun is a ANi Compact 1.3. Shop is 70f with mild humidity.
