Hyper X Talon Xbox/PC controller

Hyper X Talon Xbox/PC controller

Looks like it's a pretty new release, only sold on HP and hyper x websites. Very little info about it online, but with promo codes on their website and my student discount looks like I can get it for $102 (normally $160). Was wondering if anyone had heard anything about it before I pull the trigger? I had originally bought a scuf PC controller for $150 but I'm too used to the Xbox analog stick layout by now to adapt to it. I only use controller on a couple of games otherwise I use mouse and keyboard

Disappointed

  1. Purchased an Asus prime 9070 xt directly from Asus late May/early June. Worked but was defective and would stop displaying an image after 30 mins. Micro center ran their tests to confirm. Shipped it back to Asus 6/9. They received 6/17 (seems long). They informed me my refund won't even be processed until next week 6/29 or later due to their testing and refund process. That's just when they'll even issue it, let alone for my bank to process. Insane amount of time to wait for my $700 back. I also think I saw on their website that some of their services are going to be down 6/29 and 6/30

  2. So given how long the refund took , I decided to buy an ASUS 9070 xt tuf edition directly from Amazon on prime day just in case I have issues. Received it two days ago, GPU powered on but would not show an image, I thought maybe I did something wrong. Took it into a 30+ year computer repair business. They checked everything and even threw the GPU in another system. Could not get an image to display. Paid them over $160. They're great but annoying that I had to do this for a gpu. So I had to ship this one back to Amazon and again I'm gonna have to wait a week or so for a refund.

  3. So I purchased a 3rd and final Asus prime 5070 ti via Amazon prime day and I'm praying this one works without problems or I will have to never use Asus again.

  4. I had preordered the 20th anniversary gaming mouse that they have for $260 and the rog delta ii kjp edition headset and I ended up cancelling my orders.

I tried chatting and calling Asus and they basically told me I'm SOL and just gotta wait until next week for them to even PROCESS my refund

Tldr- Asus will take weeks to refund you your money. If you insist on buying an Asus product you're better off buying from a physical store for timely refunds.

My first time ever getting cap one offers while shopping on Amazon has anyone been successful?

While shopping for prime day graphics cards and misc items I kept getting this pop up from cap one (on Google chrome desktop). For various different items based on what I was searching. Just wondering if this is new, has anyone actually clicked activate and got their rewards ? Again this is while shopping on Amazon and it's a pop up not enabling the extension button like normal. Luckily because it is Amazon. If my rewards don't show up in a timely manner I'll consider appealing or returning. I even video recorded my whole check out process and clicking the offer. But 20% of my purchase is $200. So I definitely hope it works.

Edit: got the verification in less than 8 hours after purchase.

How cooked am I?

Built by microcenter in another state, I inspected everything and it was firmly secured, immediately took it to ups to ship home, insured it, got it home, opened it up today, GPU bent, GPU socket broken , aio cooler rolling around. At a minimum the cooler and motherboard need replaced, GPU probably needs replaced. I filed a claim only for the damaged components with ups they said 10+ days to review my claim.

Asus prime 9070 xt white - $699 on Asus site with member pricing. $140 cheaper than elsewhere

I really really wanted a 7900 xtx , but I have an ITX build so was concerned about temps, power draw and size. Also I couldn't justify paying $800-$900 on the used market for a 7900 xtx that's 3 years old with no warranty. I almost bought the 9070 xt from bhphoto for $840 last night and I came across this today (must have an Asus account to get the $699 price). I know white asus cards hold their value pretty good on the resale market when I eventually upgrade it. Comes with 3 year warranty too. With my case you can't even see the GPU lol

36gb ram. Minor video and photo editing, occasional game or two , so I don't need the latest and greatest but spending $1000 on a 4 year old computer obviously has me a bit apprehensive

My laptop is an m2 pro with 24gb ram

Cheapest I can find an m2 max is $1700
