i know that people in america don't vote third-party because they are afraid of vote splitting, a somewhat debatable yet understandable conclusion. what i do not get however is people upholding this strategy in states/districts where one candidate will win anyways. in Rhode Island for example everybody knew Harris would win the state in 2024, yet only 0.5% of people voted green. i figure there'd be a lot more based purely on ideology. or even PSL for that matter.

so i'm trying, with the emphasis on trying, to get into alt styles but my fuckass country (the netherlands) doesn't seem to allow me. the consensus for finding clothes always seems to be thrift stores, but there just doesn't seem to be anything in circulation at all in a 15km radius. let alone any specific alt stores. (i pray to god hot topic at some point settles in my country) and i'm not even talking good alt clothes or specific genre alt clothes, just anything alt in general. it is nowhere. and yes i could go further but i have school and a job and everything.

the only other option seems to be shopping online which i find unpreferable because i can't try them on and unless it's 2d-hand, in which case i also have a hard time finding anything i like, it's all incredibly expensive. i'm not going to spend a month's worth of clothing money on a single pair of pants, it's ridiculous. i found a belt i liked which i ordered, but now i'm trying to find a shirt and apart from the fact i can't find any good inspiration online (it's all basic clothing) i have a hard time even finding basic band shirts. either every force of nature is against me with this or i am incredibly bad at searching, idk.

i just wish my goddamn fuckass country didn't have such a lack of any type of expression at all

ok so i understand yall can't judge for me and my feelings but idk i feel like hearing other people's opinions on this will help

so i recently kind of discovered alt subculture and all the subcultures that preside within it, and honestly it looks so cool to me and i'm having a bit of a personality crsisis on what i should do with this newfound information

because while i think i'd like to dress like that and engage in the subculture (i don't know for 100% sure if i'd like it to be completely fair) , but i feel like it might just be a short phase. the reason i think that is because before i've never really had a problem dressing and acting ''normal'' even though i wasn't very good at it (especially the acting normal part). i see a lot of stories coming from people joining the alt community who always preferred to be different and i don't have that. there's also the thing that i'd probably be bullied but i'm thinking too much forward.

also regarding the music i do already listen to a lot of punk and some basic emo music but i listen to songs from basically every genre (yes, even country) so it's not overwhelmingly ''alternative'' music (i understand there isn't a clear line). idk how much this matters.

i get that yall can't really know my situation and what i'm thinking. it's just that there's not a whole lot of alternative people around in my region to ask lol.

so my VPN os set in Japan where i'm fairly sure the EU laws forcing reddit to verify ages don't apply, yet after a billion refreshes it still asks me for age verification. i'm over age but i prefer not to surrender my face to persona of all companies.

of anyone knows why this is or how it is helped, any and all help is appreciated

so my wifi disconnects pretty much every few minutes, i can always easily reconnect it but during gaming or other tasks it's very annoying. i first though it was because we had a new wifi installed recently but it works properly on my phone so i doubt that's it.

none of my family members seem to have the issue either so i think the problem lies within the PC, but i do not have a clue as to why it happens or how to solve it.
