why does reddit still ask me for age verification with a VPN

so my VPN os set in Japan where i'm fairly sure the EU laws forcing reddit to verify ages don't apply, yet after a billion refreshes it still asks me for age verification. i'm over age but i prefer not to surrender my face to persona of all companies.

of anyone knows why this is or how it is helped, any and all help is appreciated

wifi constantly disconnects on PC only.

so my wifi disconnects pretty much every few minutes, i can always easily reconnect it but during gaming or other tasks it's very annoying. i first though it was because we had a new wifi installed recently but it works properly on my phone so i doubt that's it.

none of my family members seem to have the issue either so i think the problem lies within the PC, but i do not have a clue as to why it happens or how to solve it.

what are the 2 circled flags?

context is an insta meme about countries attacked by japan. i think the left one may be an indian communist flag of some kind. right one looks like some shi out of star wars.

why doesn't the US have a lot of convenience store chains?

so in my country, (the netherlands) most grocery stores both inside and outside of the city are chains. they're often similar size (which just has to do with population density) but sometimes not, there are also smaller grocery stores in cities. the common denominator is that they're 95% chains, like LIDL, Plusmarkt, Albert Heijn, or ALDI.

but when i was in NYC, i barely saw any stores that seemed to be chains. it was all local independent convenience stores (i think they're called bodegas in NYC) and from what i've heard downtown areas of other cities aren't very different. i didn't really get it, henceforth my question.

thanks in advance!

edit: chill out everybody ffs i just didn't know americans classify gas stations as convenience stores. i was specifically talking about small stores on the corner in big downtown areas. not 711 or ALDI.

there doesn't seem to be a button for it in the election box editor. also side question, how do you change the election map? i could make my own map but idk how to get it into there bc it's not a wikimedia picture then.
