Hello!
Long shot but I found a disposable camera at a thrift store in Orange. I bought it on the off-chance there was someones photos inside, and to my surprise, there was a full roll of film in there. I developed and scanned these at home. Was hoping someone would be able to recognize these people so I can send them their photos!
Thank you!
I eventually want to get to this on my own someday for random testing but, has anyone already done something like this, or seen a reliable comparison available somewhere?
Not looking for perfect lab science, just anything more controlled than normal review shots at random. I'd like to see what "white" looks like in different film compared to a white balanced version etc.
I'm sure there's some film websites where users have uploaded this somewhere but, I'm not sure where to look! Thanks!
Lately I've been upgrading all my generic .costyle 'styles' I've made over the years to include tools I've learned since creation, like primarily luma curves. Upon opening up these .costyle files in an editor, some values and variables are easily recognizable, others not so much.
I started deconstructing some of them. Make a tiny change somewhere, export the file, view it, and see what values changed. I did this for a week. Every change and value I could think of, and how it changes the code.
I documented it. Default values, min max numeric values, what works what doesn't. I got most settings down, but I want to see what else I'm missing.
Are there any guides specifically for these numeric tables and such I can find ?
Thanks!
Finally happy with one of the styles I've made in C1.
Hello!
My friend is in Tokyo for the week and asked him to pick up a few (5) roll of Fuji 100, but he said Bic limited him to just 1 purchase. Is this accurate? Does anyone happen to know where he could swing by to get some of these cool looking rolls for me?
Thank you!
I try to go out to the beach and shoot a pack of ten square frames while walking around.
Today was overcast skies, wet sand, dusk light, deep shade, and intentional underexposure. A bunch of light leaks and edge fogging made their way in too. The pack expired in 2022, so the color came out cold, muddy, blue. Not necessarily broken but not perfect either, or I guess maybe perfect in a slightly broken way.
Ignore the white balance/shifts I was playing around with, I just wanted to quickly upload a comparison shot between the two.
Flatbed scanner was 1200 DPI and DSLR scan was pixel shifting with a 40.2mb sensor size (so 20 stacked photos, 500~mb each scan).
Getting rid of the glare wasn't a problem if you aim two lights at 5000k temp and no color shifts at the same angle and distance. Just make sure the film you're scanning has been flattened down so the planes between camera and film are parallel (I used a mirror to center my camera sensor prior).
First few were before it started raining. Had no idea what would come from this as I found it in a friends garage with a couple more. I shot it at 50 ISO, self dev and scanned. One of the frames (6) is an accidental double exposure. Kinda cool overall.
