Review: Needed a jersey for my daughter whenever we go to MLB games and I’ve ordered from New Jersey Store before (review here). So I reached out and asked what options they had for kids. Even though the listing only goes to youth small, they quickly got back with me and said they were able to make even smaller sizes. She’s a fan of pink, so finding an Astros jersey in pink was a no brainer. Ordered it with custom name and number for the same price. Size I got was a 3T (she normally wears 4T clothes). So I would say it runs TTS for baseball jerseys where they are on the baggier size anyway. Quality wise, I do find the jersey itself to be on the thinner side. You can see in the later photos how the darker embroidery on the other side is visible through the jersey. The stitching isn’t perfect but nothing bad either. Overall I would call this a solid, cheap replica. If you are looking for a 1:1 of an authentic, this isn’t it. But if you want a passable jersey for a great price (which is perfect for kids in my opinion), this is a fantastic option.

Review: In honor of Messi’s round of 32 game today, I figured I would post my daughters Messi jersey we picked up about 2 months ago (so a little bit of a extended review as well). Ordered in size 16. She is normally a 4T and this is running a hair bigger than that. The logo had some quality issues with discoloration when I first got it, but I reached out to jerseyhand9 and he gave some suggestions to try and fix it. Got it looking a little bit better but still slightly discolored in some light. As she’s worn it, that discoloration has gotten less and less noticeable. She has worn it probably a dozen times since we got it in April and I have been very happy with the quality. We wash on cold and air dry. All the emblems and logos have held up great as you can tell in the photos. This jersey was my very first order from jerseyhand9 and I’ve ordered multiple times from him since then all with the same experience and quality (including my Team USA one i reviewed here). Price has gone up slightly since I bought it but I still think it’s an incredible deal for the full kit.

Review: I had ordered several MoonSwatches already for projects off DHGate, so I thought I should try the next step up in watches you’d find on there… I found this seller and messaged them for additional photos. They provided those quickly and showed several of the options. Also they confirmed that all of the watches they had listed were U1. Since this was my first one, I went ahead and splurged on the full box and papers just to see what that was like. Once ordered, everything was shipped out quickly. Everything was packaged nice and tight in an unmarked brown box. Papers were varied in quality. Some of the booklets were low quality prints but some of the ‘authenticating’ paperwork (like fake receipt) was super nice. Outer Rolex box was nice with the embossed logo and heavy duty. Main watch box was mediocre. Looks ok, but once you touch it, it does have a cheaper feeling. Now on to the watch — it’s a cheap Gate Rolex. It’s not going to convince any serious watch enthusiast that it’s real. But it will certainly pass the 3’ test just fine in my opinion and the average person would easily glance at it and be convinced it’s the real deal. It came with a screwdriver to be able to resize the jubilee style band. I would give the band a solid 7/10 on quality. Feels heavier than what I was expecting for this quality of watch. The biggest downfall of this watch in my opinion is the cyclops. At a lot of angles it is pretty difficult to see through. I went ahead and opened up the back of the case too and found an unbranded movement, so not sure what it is. Overall I’m happy with it for the price, just have to have realistic expectations for what you’re getting. I would skip the extra box and papers next time but kind of fun getting all that at least one time.

Review: Getting into the dog days of summer here in Texas and needed a new pair of swim trunks. I always make sure to get some bright pairs to get in full vacation mode and these fit the bill. I normally wear a large for shorts so I sized up to an XL, but I would probably say it’s worth going up 2 sizes… they aren’t necessarily too tight but maybe just a hair smaller than expected. And it is worth noting these are on the shorter side (ignore my super pale legs, I have a desk job 😂). These do have a mesh lining so should make a good set for swimming. Quality seems pretty solid with the fabric feeling like some sore of quick dry performance fabric and thick enough I wouldn’t be concerned when they get wet.

Review: I’ve been needing a case to carry some cigars for vacation. Amazon has some options for right around this same price so I figured might as well get something that looks much better than the cheap looking Amazon options if it’s going to cost me the same! I messaged this seller and they got me a response with actual photos super quick and answered a few questions I had. Shipping did take a while — about 10 days from when I ordered to when it showed it started shipment (the last day that DHGate said it had to be shipped by) but then only another 10 days later I got it. When I got it, this thing was wrapped up like it was going to see some serious action during shipment! There were multiple layers of bubble wrap and tape making sure this case was kept extremely safe. Finally got it open and found a nice Goyard box with the classic yellow bag inside. Getting the cigar case out, I was extremely impressed with the quality. The leather is soft to the touch yet hard enough to provide the needed protection I was looking for. It does not have the yellow interior like the genuine unfortunately though. It does have a pretty strong glue smell to it at the moment so I’ll let it air out for at least a week before it starts getting use. The last photo is of a 6” cigar with 56 gauge that is pretty much the absolute limit of cigar I would try to fit in there. The description for the genuine case says “The Churchill 3 cigar case is made using a mould to create the ideal shape for three cigars, in particular three Robusto cigars” and I would agree that is what this case would fit as well. This seller also has 1 and 2 cigar cases. All 3 size options are in green, black, or brown (the option I picked).

Review: I have been in need for some new ties and didn’t want anything overly ‘designer’. So went looking through the hundreds of Gucci, LV and Prada ties on DHGate. Finally came across this seller offering a lot of Hermes times (still had a bunch of those other brands though). I messaged them and they provided a TON of actual product photos. When I decided on this tie, they provided a bunch of additional photos so I could see exactly what I was going to be getting. The tie doesn’t normally come with the box and bag, so I added that for $5 just to see what it was like. Not sure how this would come packaged normally. Quality feels great and high quality. Length is good and a nice modern width. Will definitely be ordering some more ties in the future from them based on this one.

Review: Wanted to pick up a Savannah Bananas jersey for my Dad who has really got into Banana Ball (definitely worth looking up if you don’t know about it). Retail jerseys are limited in where you can get them and close to $100 and after messaging several sellers on DHGate, I wasn’t getting much traction. However, New Jersey Store said that they would be able to make this jersey for me after I provided multiple photos of what the retail version looked like. Unfortunately we couldn’t get all the emblems since the retail version is from a brand I’m not sure of, but they captured all the parts that matter to me. I ordered an XL and I would call it true to size (I’m 6’2” 200lbs for reference in the first photo). Plus they have a sizing chart in the description to make sure the measurements match up with what you need. Overall quality of the jersey I would give a 7/10. Nice that everything is stitched and lines up well, but the jersey itself is kind of thin (definitely have to be wearing a shirt under this when you wear it). Correspondence was great with the seller to dial in on exactly what I wanted and I would recommend reaching out to them if there are other ‘custom’ jerseys that you would be interested in seeing if they could make it. I’ve already ordered another custom MLB jersey for my daughter, so will be posting that review once it comes in.

Review: Our family loves to travel, so having a passport cover makes it easy to identify who’s passport is who’s when going through security. So I started looking around to see what options I could find on the gate. I messaged several sellers, requesting actual photos and some details. This seller (5A Supplier) provided lots of amazing actual photos of the cover and answered all my questions. Shipping was started super quick after I ordered (hence only 11 days). Once I got it, I will say this is by far the nicest unboxing experience I’ve had for an item from DHGate. I truly felt like I was opening up an authentic piece with the yellow cloth wrapping the paper wrapped cover inside. After opening I was blown away by the quality. The stitching was straight and even. The hidden surprise was the inside pockets were the Goyard signature yellow, which I did not expect to find at this price. It has 4 card slots for whatever else you may need to carry, although it’s a tight fit so I would probably only recommend 1-2 unless you want to stretch the leather. Overall I would say this is a 10/10 purchase. This listing also has card holders and wallets, so I will probably add one of those in the future given this purchase quality.

Review: My third order from jerseyhand9. Got this along with my matching daughter’s jersey that I posted yesterday. Great communication and quality as always — why I keep ordering from this seller. Sizing is a bit small (same as the away jersey) even though I ordered the fan version. So I would probably order up a size. It’s ok through the abdomen but it’s the arms where I really noticed it. Logos and emblems all look good. Numbers and name on the back are spot on.
