It’s Summer

Drivers,
I’m not sure if it’s because the AC vents are blowing directly on you, making it more difficult to notice, but as passengers, it’s often unbearably hot in the back seats of your vehicles – especially during these hotter months.

It seems this has become an increasingly common issue over the past few years. I take two Ubers a day, and it’s now rare that I ride in a vehicle with a comfortable climate.

So please, we beg of you – turn the air conditioner up, or at least turn it on in the first place. Thank you.

Sincerely, Uber passengers everywhere

>For years there have been calls for Hawk to go. Tune in to any sports radio show, read the comment boxes on any online story about him, and for every passionate defense, there’s an equally passionate denunciation.

>Yet Harrelson has won five Emmys and, two years ago, the Ring Lardner Award for excellence in sports journalism. The latter honor puts him in the company of such deeply respected broadcasters as Ernie Harwell, Bob Costas, Greg Gumbel, and Brent Musburger. After everything, and seemingly against all odds, not only has Hawk hung on—he’s soared.

Her thoughts on Rufio's performance:

>Rufio's sound was boring and typical of all the other pop punk bands today, kind of like Autopilot Off. I'm sorry, but I couldn't tell the difference between APO and Rufio. The generic sound made me want to jump off the balcony in frustration.

And Sugarcult:

>Sugarcult couldn't even measure up to my dismal expectations. The eye makeup and the mohawk need to go. What's up Good Charlotte?

She also reviewed Silverstein's 2003 debut studio album "When Broken Is Easily Fixed" and humbly gifted it a rating of half a star, out of 5.

>This disc is a formulaic "hey let's take some crappy generic music, call it a blend of post-hardcore emo and punk and hope the kids are stupid enough not to realize our lack of talent." The songs consist of vocalist Shane Told bitching about his broken heart. Get over it Silverstein, its all been done before, and far better than how you do it.

And her thoughts on the album cover:

>Also, since album art is such a hot topic around here, it seems necessary to mention that this cover art sucks. It's absolutely hideous. Oh look, the robot is ripping out his broken heart. This album is a waste of shelf space.

Punchline's "Rewind" was also rated half a star but I couldn't bring myself to read that one.

Now, I know music is subjective and everyone has their own taste, but reading these gave me a good chuckle.

“We want Marcus to know that he will not face this alone, as so many people are thinking of him and sending him strength every single day,” the program said in a statement.

“While he focuses on his health and recovery, we truly look forward to having Marcus with us in Ann Arbor this summer and are beyond excited for his future as a Wolverine.”
