Youtube video of AM playing golf against gabbygolfgirl

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtkKJ9nN6os&t=1014s

The thumbnail for this video says very attractive and I'm like what? Basically she challenges randos to golf. This popped into my feed and I just decided to watch it and halfway through I'm thinking oh god the comment section is going to be a wasteland.

But shockingly everyone liked the guy and some were like you guys need to go on a date. The other thing is that the AM video got 1 million views and everyone is at 100k views.

Good god things have changed. I would have never imagined.

Sub for becoming or being Financially Independent and Retiring Early (FIRE) at the inflation-adjusted level of what was 5 million USD in 2019 when episode 9 of season 2 of Succession aired. In that episode there's the famous quote: "You can't do anything with five million Greg, five's a nightmare"

In 2026, to GregFire you need a household net worth including everything of 6.5 million USD. https://www.in2013dollars.com/us/inflation/2019?amount=50

OLD profile format help

So I (late 40s male) see a lot of the profiles say who they are and what they are looking for- kind man with sense of humor (or some combo of positive traits) looking for intelligent, kind (or some combo of positive traits) woman to have ltr with great communication, honesty, faithfulness, enjoying time together.

Does this help from a woman’s pov? To me it seems a bit generic. What’s intelligent? PhD, street smarts, quick witted humor?

My strategy has been to just try to describe myself as best I can and only list that I want an ltr, then if the woman is interested, then we can go from there. Or is this not good?

New or CPO for BMW 530i xdrive putting 5k miles/year?

I'm looking at a 530i xdrive but plan to only put 5k miles a year on it mainly city driving. I want the car to last for at least 6yrs before I dump it. I don't do any of my own work and I've located a good indy BMW shop. I'm not too concerned with maintanence costs, but rather the surprise repair bill.

Obviously if buy new, it's 4yrs worry free and it's just 2yrs out of pocket. That's fine. I can handle that.

But there is a $25k difference in out the door pricing for a 2027 vs 2023 with 40k mi. So that's got me thinking- although I like worry free, I also like money too.

So I basically see it as a $25k bet on 5yrs of out of warranty repair on the CPO. Even if I end up spending $20k over the 6yrs to repair the cpo, I still save $5k.

The main system that worries me is the mild hybrid system- any issues with that?

Didn’t realize the massive change in Asian acceptance.

So I’m out in nyc now and visited two of my old haunts- Kinokuniya bookstores on Bryant Park and Woorijip (Korean takeaway) in Koreatown. Total shock.

When I lived in nyc around 15yrs ago, Kinokuniya was mainly Japanese people. Everybody spoke Japanese there. Same with Woorijip- everybody there was Korean, spoke Korean, and it felt very much like this is for Koreans only.

Now? It’s full of non Asians, people speaking English, and not just nerds or amwf couples, like I felt like Woorijip had more non-Asians than Asians- I don’t think I heard anyone speak Korean there. Total shock.

At Kinokuniya I saw this skinny, short Asian teenager- probably 16, if he posted a pic of himself, we would tell him to lift, get a better haircut, upgrade your wardrobe, you look like a fucking nerd and this is why am are struggling in the dating world. Then a Latina and Black girl came up to him and yeah, he was holding court, center of attention.
