why is everything marketing book written for ecommerce gurus?

I have been reading marketing books for a month and I feel like every book is so perfectly tailored for salespeople and consultants, but not for an everyday business like a theme park or a restaurant.

for example: "collect the email and home address of your leads by giving the some free valuable information". but what free and valuable information is there to give about a restaurant?

how do I become a better businesspartner?

Last week I marketed my business by sponsoring a football event. Sometimes I thought that they didn't treat me well enough as a sponsor or didn't promote my business enough. So I spoke up for myself, but now looking back I feel like maybe I was too dramatic and greedy. I might have hurt my brands image.

For future events, how do I know when I should or shouldn't speak up? I don't know where the line is between someone treating me wrong and me being overly dramatic. Also, is there any way I can restore my brands image and my relationship with this sponsor? they were kind of my friends.

In general; how do I become a better business partner? A better person to work with? any advice is appreciated!!

how to become better at teamwork?

as an only child, I never really learned how to share responsibilities or work closely with other people. I have a hard time trusting teammates in group projects bc I am scared they wont do a great job.

also, how to know whether the teamwork really isn't going well and I should speak up or if im just being overly dramatic. I have always thought that I should have boundaries and speak up for myself but now i feel like its also making me a difficult person to work with.
