Gift for Dad with a 16 inch MacBook Pro

Tom Bihn has dad vibes, so I wanted to get him a bag as a gift. He's going through chemo, so is kinda weak and can't carry much around, so I figured a backpack for the future or something lighter in Spectron is a better idea. I wanted to do the Pilot or Synik 26, but I just realized neither can fit a Macbook Pro 16 inch. The Bixi can... but that's big. Does anyone have better suggestions? Should I just scrap a laptop carrying bag altogether, adn get him something smaller like a sling?

What am I missing out with a lighter (big) travel bag?

I have and love my pakt v2 45L with its daybag. I love the features and organization. my gripe would be that fully packed out it gets heavy / straps aren’t the comfiest. I figure the solution is to just.. pack it less.

For V3, they have the One and the Cero. Theya re similar, but Cero is 2.3 lbs vs 4 lbs. If you don’t care about weight limits, how much does that 1.7 ish lb difference really make omce you’re putting all your clothes, a laptop, and toiletries bag and all in? I figure the extra structure o f a heavier bag will make it comfier, and therefore _feel_ better? But the industry has gone the other way so I am confused and wanted to check my bias :)

Coda W, LS50 Meta + Wiim, or something else? Have a KC62

I'm looking to replace my desktop speakers, which are currently 2 JBL LSR305P studio monitors. I have a pair of LSX II LT I use at work, which are great, so I wanted to update my home desk. I also use a KC62 sub with my Kef XIO on my TV, which I could move over to my desk.

I've compared the sound of LSX vs Coda W vs LS50WII at a local hi fi shop.. and the LS50WII were clearly better, although all sounded amazing. I attribute it to the metamaterial. But for a desk setup, where I don't care about streaming.. the price is hard to justify. So I was thinking maybe I go passive speakers + an amp, hence LS50 Metas, which I haven't heard.

Does the MIE DSP stuff on the LS50WII make a big difference vs the LS50 Meta? Is the Wiim amp the right amp to look at for desktop use with these speakers? And if I'm going passive (and already have a KC62 sub I could pair if needed, but would rather keep with the TV), should I consider some other speakers in their line up?

I'm at Chapter 12 where the * decision * time happens, and I wasn't entirely happy with the outcome. Getting to here was a slog, I bought the game on release and keep leaving it and coming back because I mostly just don't find the game and it's filler and side quests fun. But I want to be really into min maxxing my materia but it's hard to get me to play the game.

I recently redid my PC setup, got a nice ultrawide, can hit 60-80 FPS with good settings, and I wonder if I'll just enjoy the game more if I restart with full gusto and try to get through it in 2-3 weeks. I am not one to replay games, but I find it hard to imagine booting it on my PS5.
