Cooking for my husband is more stressful than I thought it'd be.

Been married for a few months now. One thing I cannot seem to get used to is cooking for my husband.

One thing is the quantity. When i was single I'd cook a recipe for myself and have it for dinner over 3 to 4 days. Often now even if I cook a recipe that says it "serves 4" it turns into just serving 2, because i have my portion for dinner and my husband eats the rest of the dish, leaving none for the next day. On rare occasions when we do have leftovers, my husband refuses to eat leftovers for dinner the next day and complains. So I'm cooking so frequently because of the amount that he eats.

The other thing is his requirement for there tk be protein at every meal. I like meat myself, but sometimes, its ok to have a meatless dish to give yourself a break from it, and the fact that meat is expensive. But when i cook a meatless dish he gets angry and complains that there's no protein.

He has his other complaints, like salmon having to be wild caught and not farmed (even if its farmed in Canada). Wild caught salmon isn't always available in stores. I personally really like salmon and am ok with farmed salmon but ive given up cooking salmon altogether because its not worth listening to him complain about it not being wild caught. And even for lunches, he wants sandieches, fine I make them and but various cold cuts ar the deli. He's fine with it sometimes, but then complains the next minute sayig thay my sandwiches are always the same.

I'm so drained and frustrated with cooking for him. Sometimes I even feel stressed about it and makes me not enjoy married life. Idk what can I do?

What's the difference between giving up and accepting that something isn't for you

If a new job, hobby, sport or situation is difficult even of you keep trying, how do you know when stopping would be giving up versus accepting that that thing just simply isn't for you?

RPNs - do you have a fellow RPN as one of your union reps?

I've worked in hospital before and now in LTC. At both places our CUPE union reps were porters, housekeepers, PSWs, but no RPNs on the union rep/steward team. No hate to ancillary staff, they are much needed for the hospital/LTC. But they can't really understand RPN specific concerns.

Is it true that you never stop worrying about your kids?

I heard from many moms (and dads too) thay you never stop worrying about your kids. Is that true? Like I don't wanna have kids and be in a constant state of worry for the rest kf my life.

I understand worrying about them as babies, school aged children and teens, or if your adilt child has disabilities . But other than that, the worrying has got to stop at some point right? Like what if your kid is 35 years old and doing well in life (is financially well off, healthy, has hobbies, married with kids of their own, has their own plave to live), will I really be worrying about my 35 year old grown ass adult kid? Or will I be 80 years old and STILL worrying about my kids instead of enjoying my retirement? Like constant angst and worry and stress isn't good for you

Dunky's is hiring kitchen staff.

I just saw on Dunky's Beach shack FB page that they are hiring back kitchen staff. If anyone is still looking for a summer job this may be a good opportunity.

Currently watching season 3. The part where Yolanda bring Taylor along to watch Bella ride her horse. In the confessional, Yolanda said she wishes she could put more money into Bella's equestrian sport and how other riders in Beverly Hills have 2 or 3 horses but Bella has just one.

What does she mean she can't afford to put more money into Bella's sport? With a house like that and the child support she gets from her ex husband I'm sure she can afford to put more money into her daughter's sport.
