Powermatic 3 plus jam

So I just got the p3+ for the first time today thinking I made a good deal for €100 on a machine with only 6400 rolls so far. When I get home it doesn’t work.

I get the jam notification. There’s barely any visible debris stuck but when I looked in the injector with a flashlight there was some tobacco visible in the end of the tunnel.

I tried sticking stuff in. Chopsticks, screwdriver, even hammered on it lightly. Nothing. Then I opened it (I suspected this machine was over a year old so no warranty) and realized it’d be very difficult to take out that particular part of the machine to clean it.

Then I put some hot water in with a syringe and now bits start to come out, but not enough as to resolve the issue. Mind you, not a single part is moving anymore, it is just stuck like that. What should I do?

I can’t contact the people that are located in the US. I just want to be able to fix it by myself because otherwise the machine looks fairly clean and new. I didn’t find much rest tobacco in other parts of the machine when open. Please let me know.

Denken jullie dat dit legit is?

Ik ben misschien 1x opgelicht voor €25 via marktplaats. Ik heb er een redelijk goed gevoel over maar ik zie graag wat jullie denken over dit profiel en advertentie.

What tobacco do you guys recommend?

Hey, I’m getting the PM3+ pretty soon and I just wanted to ask what tobacco you guys recommend?

I’m from the Netherlands and started off with buying packs of Marlboro red but quickly switched to Lucky Strike because it was a bit cheaper. I remember that I really liked Marlboro red. Gold is nice too but Red seems to have a bit more punch.

Next to that, when I’m in Turkey I smoke Parliament Night Blue. It seems to have a bit more punch than Lucky Strike but is a bit drier. I like it but I prefer Lucky Strike.

I want to buy a kilogram of tobacco when I go to Germany in a few days because it’s way cheaper there. Should I just go for Marlboro tobacco then? And what variant should I buy?

Next to that, the tobacco will probably last me at least 4 months. What should I do about the humidity of the product?

Thanks and happy smoking

Nomad life FIRE

Has anyone retired to travel around in order to press spendings and still get portfolio growth?

I’m 26M and am saving and investing in WEBN ETF aggressively for the coming 6 years at least. After that I’m considering leaving the Netherlands with at least €500k invested.

I’m considering deregistering around 2032 from the Netherlands to registering in Türkiye where I have citizenship too to escape the box 3 taxes which are insane?

Planning to slow travel Southeast Asia and South America from then on. I’ve been to both continents twice and I loved both so far. Can definitely see myself staying there for longer periods. And also stay in Türkiye and the Netherlands for a couple months each year since I have family in both.

I’m quite a frugal person and I’m looking to spend €1200-1500 at the start and as my portfolio grows dynamically increase my spending, but never too much. I can even easily get by on €750 in Türkiye since there are properties my grandfather left us.

Doing some rough calculations I could be a multi millionaire with this lifestyle by the age of 70-72 when the dutch state pension kicks in and settle down for more stability and excellent health care in the Netherlands and Türkiye.

As an emergency I could always pick up some work in the 6 months I’m allowed to stay in the Netherlands to cover for a potential bear market.

I was in Türkiye for 2 months this year and it really made me realize how much I value coming together with family and friends and even living together with family members (multi generationally). But I can also seek complete solitude for months and years on end if I want to on my trips which I also value.

How does this plan sound? Am I missing anything? It will save me a lot of years of work for “setting up” life in The Netherlands since housing is expensive and you pretty much work for your mortgage or rent. A rough estimate is that I’d have to work 10-20 years more to be in a similar FIRE situation in The Netherlands.

Please let me know

What role does stress play in psychosis?

I understood that stress plays a huge role in developing psychosis. I always felt the need to push myself further and further, until I broke. Better grades, better athleticism, chasing a career with higher income so I can pay off my mortgage and performing being a good son and friend to the ones around me. I noticed this brought a lot of stress into my life to the point I got pains and pressures in my heart, anxiety and eventually psychosis.

Have you noticed what career or study stress brings to your symptoms? I’ve decided I’m not going back to my studies and just take part time jobs from now on where I can enjoy longer weekends and have zero corporate stress following me into my free hours. Can anyone relate? It’s just not worth it for me anymore. I’m happy spending less money and living simply.

Cause in the end, the things you own end up owning you. We go into the grave without anything and won’t be remembered after a few generations.

Damn, I always felt the need I had to make something of myself in a grotesque sense. Always pushed. Now it’s over. My psychotic break could be a blessing in disguise since I’m not gonna give myself fully to the system anymore. It’s over. I’m just gonna live a quiet simple and healthy life.

Do you relate? I’m posting because I’m curious to your stories. Thank you for reading.

Insomnia before and after anti psychotic

I remember not being able to sleep leading up to my psychosis. Then was put on 15mg olanzapine and that knocked me out everyday sleeping for 12 hours. Now I reduced my dose to 2.5mg and the insomnia is coming back. Can’t seem to be able to fall asleep. When I sleep though I sleep long.

Does this go away? Anyone has had any success with their sleep life? I don’t wanna go back to higher doses just to be able to fall asleep. Fuck.

What a life

So I went through psychosis in October/november 2025 and life hasn’t been the same since. I went really deep, I was a different person back then. Then got hospitalized and put on 15mg of olanzapine. It helped because it made my delusions go away. Slowly it dawned on me that I had been believing things that weren’t true and it felt so painful. Everything I believed was a lie. The psychosis itself was like hell. I remember feeling ecstatic at some points, but other than that it was terrifying and absurd. The aftermath wasn’t pretty either as the olanzapine started to stabilize in my system I realised that I had thrown out most of my belongings for nothing. Thankfully my parents were really patient with me and they were helpful and I’m staying with them now (I’m 26 years old). But I had such a vibrant life going on with good friends, athletic performance and my studies going well. But now most of that is out the window and I feel zero pull towards doing anything besides sitting around, taking long walks, smoking cigarettes and watching movies.

I’m down to 5mg and I guess some of that heavy dampening is gone, but i still feel like a complete useless zombie. I can’t even find the motivation sometimes to prepare some food for myself to eat. Thankfully the state recognized my illness and i don’t have to work right now, but the only job i see myself taking is a simple warehouse job where i don’t want to grow a career. It all seems so useless to me. I had suicidal thoughts and im worried about them coming back. I would never have thought of committing suicide but my life has become so bland and boring it’s like right now i’m just waiting for life to be over. My mental capacities are alright, my speech is a bit slower but i was studying mathematics at university level and i have zero interest in completing it and finding a career in the field.

I feel like just going back to smoking cannabis because that’s when i can finally feel something.

Does this sound familiar to you? I’m not looking for comfort in your words but I’m curious if life gets better? It has been an absolute tragedy in my eyes, even in the years building up to it I was constantly grieving and crying and i don’t know why. I guess what I understood is that I was grieving my old ego with all its accomplishments and goals and keeping the facade up.

I’ve found some comfort in having conversations with AI and it seems to understand me in being a nobody but I’m still wondering. Is this all there is to my life? I’m afraid that I’ll become bitter, or maybe i am already.

I don’t know. I really don’t know.

Im already fire but wanna move back to my own apartment

Hey everyone, I own my own apartment with an estimated value of at least €550k. €160k of mortgage is left but I’m not paying it off, only paying a little interest. I rent it out at the moment getting in €1950 a month. €450 goes to my dad who pays the interest on the mortgage and my life insurance. So €1500 is left. From that I pay off my student loan which is €100 for the next 30 years so im left with €1400 a month. Every year I can increase the rent with 4.4%.

Right now I live back with my parents which costs me barely any money since they are kind to pay for groceries. But I also move to Turkey, where I have a citizenship, once in a while where I stay at my father’s apartment. This is where I can spend some time alone. This costs me approximately €600 a month and I plan on staying for about 6 months a year. This means I can save 6 months of €800 a month and the other 6 months I can probably save like €900-€1000. Let’s say that I save €10k yearly and I put it all in WEBN (an ETF) which has generated approximately 10% of annual interest historically. And my starting point is €3000 invested.

I also have $9000 dollars in Turkish Lira’s and the bank is giving me at least 30% on that. But I leave it out of the equation for now.

Now why I’m making this post: I’m 26 atm and here in the Netherlands you get €1500 when you reach the retirement age of 68. And as you can tell I don’t spend a lot of money so let’s be conservative and say I’d need €1200-1500 when I live back in my own apartment in The Netherlands. The 4% rule says I’d need €360k-€450k. A compound interest calculator on the internet says I can reach that within 12-14 years. Let’s say I’m 40 when I reach €400k (the calculator says €480k after 14 years) and let’s say history repeats itself with its 10% on the ETF’s. It means I’d have €40k of interest annually. Which is €3.3k a month which is way more than I need. And also considering I get €1500 after I bridge from 40 years to 70 years, my question is: can you help me draw the line? How much money saved in ETF’s is realistic for my situation? I didn’t really understand how to use the 4% calculator in my situation. That’s why I’m asking you guys too. I’d love to have my own place back but I’m not going to rush it. If I have to wait 15 years I will.
