I Love WARNO

This is my first RTS and I absolutely fell in love with it. I could never get into single player games long enough to beat the main story, it seemed only competitive shooters would scratch that gaming itch…until I came across WARNO.

I’m 200 hours in and don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. I’ve played mainly skirmish and 10v10 but i’ve now started to try and beat all the Army General Campaigns in order.

I love the sandbox elements to this game. It’s like everything I wanted out of ARMA, but not ARMA. Feeling like i’m commanding a real battle any which way I choose. Pulling off flanks, shutting down pushes, getting a kill with a bomber, arty spam, it’s all just so satisfying.

Eugen, please keep this game and genre alive!

My only complaints as a 200hr scrub…

  1. I wish harder AI would outsmart you and outplay you, not rely on unit spam.
  2. I wish infantry was more viable in open/semi urban areas…considering that is 70% of the maps/terrain. Maybe I don’t have the tactics down, but pushing infantry across an open field seems like a death sentence, so I just LOS cheese at common routes, not my favorite. Game feels like ATGM/Tank simulator sometimes.
  3. I wish more of the divisions in the game were featured in campaigns…like 101st.
  4. I wish maps had more terrain elements. I understand it’s geography/region based in central Europe, but man would simulating something like the Afghanistan war be cool.

I’d love to see this game becoming a Wargame platform for simulating modern/cold war battles on a worldwide scale.

Anyways, LONG LIVE WARNO!

5 Weeks Post PRK High IOP (35L/32R)

As the title says, I went in for a followup today (5 weeks post op) and my IOP was measured at 35L/32R. I started pred 1% drops 4x daily after surgery, at 2 weeks 3x daily, at 4 weeks 2x daily, 6 weeks 1x daily until 8 weeks. Since I am now on week 5, I was doing 2x daily.

Doctor decided to completely halt the steroid drops and NOT put me on pressure reducing drops. Strictly on lubricant drops now.

Pressure was measured normal 3 weeks post op.

Vision was 20/15 with both eyes open, left eye sees worse than right, left eye has regressed some in past few weeks, it was sharper at week 3-4.

The combination of being told to completely halt pred drops without taper, no pressure reducing drops, and a slight regression in the left eye has me worried for the health of my vision.

Anyone have thoughts or experience the same?

Should I expect optic nerve damage/glaucoma?

26M - $90k.

Hello all, I hope your finances are treating you well. I started consistently investing after undergrad, but I really just picked a handful of funds that seemed diversified and have been throwing an arbitrary amount where the vibes feel right that particular week.

Now that the portfolio has grown to what I consider substantial, I realize I maybe should have put more thought into my allocations to begin with. By no means am I a financial guru. I have just been operating on the principle that green line go up (eventually) and time in the market beats timing the market.

So now I am wondering…

What needs optimization?

Where should I reallocate?

What mistakes do you see?

PRK - Slower Recovery in One Eye

(26M, -6.0L/-5.25R)

Hey everyone. Hope your vision is treating you well. I am currently on Day 6 of PRK recovery. I had the bandage contact lens removed yesterday, I was able to read the 20/20 line with both eyes open. I was able to read it with my left eye, with my right I am only able to read the 20/40 line. Even without the chart, my right eye is noticeably lagging behind my left. As you can see, the right eye was also the stronger (and dominant) eye prior to the procedure.

I wanted to get a feel if this was normal considering the circumstances, and if I should be concerned at all?

Another note, while I am able to read the 20/20 line with both eyes open, it is not the same as 20/20 with glasses or contacts. My corrected vision prior to the procedure was significantly “sharper.” The letters were more defined or “crisp.” I am not so concerned about this aspect, because I understand the “sharpening” or stabilization may take anywhere from 1-6 months. But I would welcome comments on this as well.

SpaceX IPO Share Allocation

Curious how many SpaceX shares everyone requested versus how much they were allocated?

In my case, I only was allocated about 12% the amount of shares I requested.

Now that SpaceX is pumping, I am upset at my brokerage. I could’ve made more money, because I predicted the market and played accordingly, but my brokerage is actively working against me to minimize my profits.

(I’m a vibe trader and if SpaceX tanked my opinion toward my brokerage would be reversed)

Mugshot Removed from Host Site - Google Still Shows it in Search Results

After a speeding arrest in early 2025 (got carried away on a new motorcycle), my mugshot was posted to three different sites. I was able to get it removed from the first 2 a few months ago. Once the post was removed, it disappeared from Google within 48 hours.

I got it removed from the third website (facebook post) but Google still shows it in search results. When you click the link it says the post can’t be found. It has not dropped from Google in over a week since removal. I have no success with the outdated content removal tool, when I submit the link, Google already says “the page is not indexed” and “removed from their search results.”

That is clearly not the case because I am still able to see it in search results, even though it cannot be found on the host site.

What could be a possible reason for this?

How can I ultimately get it removed from Google when the host site already removed it?
