I am looking for a half top laptop. This is what I need I want to move between external displays with extreme ease. Is there a way for me to find one of these or is it just luck that I find someone who was unlucky ?

TLDR: gaming laptop that performs at mobile 5070ti to 5080 style but idc about the screen, just performance and longevity.

I am very interested in a gaming laptop.

I love the idea of playing rocket league and casual games on the couch. You know the ones that are meant for a couch.

I also love to play some competitive games like apex and league but the older I get the less I play them and the more I play couch games.

My current desktop is a 5800x, 6950xt, 32GB ddr4
Desktop monitor 28in odyssey
Living room tv 48in c6
Current laptop zephyrs 14 w/ 6700s

Id love to just have one set up, the local streaming isn’t bad but it’s a bit of a hurdle. I’m tryna simplify my life not add more steps to it.

Anyway….

Budget: depends on how much I could get more desktop and laptop. Maybe 1.4-1.8k idk. Out of pocket open to up to 1k. ~2.4-2.8k, ideally with extended warranty.
Want: desktop replacement. I don’t need a good screen I need good performance. It will always be plugged into other monitors besides few times a year where I travel.
Games: rocket, apex, cyber punk. So the whole span.
Desire: competitive on 28k 1440p 120+, more casual games 48in 4k 60+

Jumping up and down when i found out about apollo/moonlight! I really wanted the steam deck but it just isnt great. I would litterally pay someone to help.

HELP: The streaming stutters pretty hard

Solutions attempted:
- Decreasing resolution, refresh (bit rate)

- Different rooms for moonlight device

Set up:

- Desktop, ethernet to xfinity box, 6950xt, 5800x, 32gb ram

- Moonlight to 2022 ROG zephryus

-- Noticed that internet speed test is bad in the desktop room but laptop is sitting next to router, it doesnt have an ethernet port

EDIT: running at a different time of day I now have to stuttering! What does this tell us is likely the cause?

Notes: I got the Alienware aurora 16 5050 for 850 pre tax last night and currently have a 2022 rog zepyrs 7600s. Is this a meaningful upgrade? I can tell the screen and keyboard are worse but the size increase will be appreciated bc I’m not a student anymore. I want to be able to game from bed and plug the laptop into the tv to play games like rocket.

Also, is there just a lot of sales going on rn?

Anything else we should know?)
