Lord Huron Christmas Cover
I asked the other day about what Disney song you could see LH covering and the results were lovely!! Given that most of the residency dates are for December, I’m hopeful we may hear a Christmas song. What Christmas song would be the best to hear from Lord Huron?
Lord Huron Disney Cover
I love, love, love Lord Huron. I was listening to She Lit a Fire while out for a walk and randomly remembered that Disney album where different artists (Fall Out Boy, Kasey Musgraves, Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly) covered famous Disney songs. Made me wonder that if LH covered a Disney song, which would be the best fit for them?
Say one positive thing about your least favorite character
I dislike Tom as much as the next person, but he is shown to love his children very much. I don’t care for Rex either, but Steven Culp did a good job making him unlikable, plus he and Marcia Cross had great chemistry
Dream Very Merry Christmas Time Cruise?
Has anyone ever done the Very Merry Christmas Time Cruise on the Dream? We have done two Christmas cruises on the Fantasy and the Treasure. The Fantasy experience was incredible, whereas the Treasure’s was nice but slightly underwhelming. It felt like the Fantasy pulled out all the stops and had tons of decor and holiday themed events, while the Treasure had nice decor, but not a whole lot of holiday activities.
It would be myself and my fiancé, both under 35, and no kids. Looking to go the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Rory saying she’s “independent and on my own“
While she’s living in her grandparents’ pool house after dropping out of the school that they were paying for and waiting for them to find a job for her while she goes to court with a lawyer they have retained for her is just ridiculous
I want my old body back
I’m going to turn 30 in a few months. The past few years I was weighing between 127-130. I looked great on the outside. I was working out multiple times a week and I just felt so beautiful. But on the inside I was really going through it mentally. I wasn’t in a good place in my life, I felt alone, and I was living far away from home, so I was working out all the time because that was my only activity. Furthermore, my body was fighting a lot of sicknesses, including multiple infections. Because I kept getting so many infections, my doctor requested that I go off my birth control and start taking estradiol instead. This was to help my body repair from long-term damage. I’ve been on and off for the past year.
I weigh 154 pounds now. And it’s not all fat, I’ve been weightlifting and I’m getting tone with muscle, but I don’t like how I look anymore. I look in the mirror and I miss how thin I used to be and how I didn’t have a stomach to look at. Now I have a bit of a belly and I bloat a lot. I feel like I have chunky sides and more skin on me than before. My thigh gap is gone and my face looks puffier. I was told not to go back on birth control and I can’t do IUD for personal/physical reasons. I went to my doctor to try to get hormone testing or an autoimmune panel, but she said it wasn’t necessary to do that so I feel stuck. She ruled out Cushing’s syndrome only but didn’t give me any tips other than to work with a nutritionist and maybe join a health club.
I don’t immediately want to jump to GLP-1, but it’s hard not to think about it. Where I live, there are so many young, thin, beautiful women with Pilates bodies. They don’t have big stomachs and bloated bellies that just appeared out of nowhere. Every time I hear about a celebrity taking Ozempic or see an ad for GLP1, I want to plug my ears but I keep thinking about it anyway. Two people I know went through significant weight loss, both through surgeries and working with professionals, and they both look amazing and I feel bad deep down that I let myself get bigger than them even though it’s not a contest. I feel like I let myself go, even though I was sick and not a healthy weight. (127 is pushing underweight for my height)
I just feel sad. I feel like I will never get that body back, and I will always be bigger than my partner too. He never seems bothered by my figure, although he did mention that I had gotten a little bigger when I asked him for an honest answer. He still loves me and my therapist is always telling me that I am “more than a body“, but it’s hard when I see my body every day. I went for a walk earlier, and I was so ashamed of how I looked. I felt like a big monster thundering down the block and it felt like everyone was looking at me, even though I know deep down, I’m not that big. I’m afraid to even look at pictures of myself from the past because I’ll just feel sad about what I used to look like and how ugly I look now.
I just wish I could have my old body back.
I just watched the episode where Logan goes to Friday Night Dinner for the first time
My God, Emily was just awful to Lorelai. So many underhanded digs, nasty common and passive aggressiveness. Why did she do this? I know she wants Rory to marry up with Logan, but to throw your own daughter under the bus like that is disgusting.
It really is a testament to the actors and their abilities in the show. I absolutely hate Emily in one scene and then find myself enjoying her in the next.
Activities/Hobbies that aren't Pilates?
No shade at pilates lovers, but I feel like every time I look for things to do/get involved in in Chicago, the main activity recommended for women is to do pilates or do pilates but at the beach. Does anybody else have any other activities that they like/recommend? Fitness stuff is welcome, I just want something other than pilates.
