Looking for a Volunteer + Food Drive + Free Meals (Rosemead)

Hi friends! I think everyone here knows me by now, but to reintroduce I run a community care org called Jessie's Legacy. Below is our flyer for an upcoming meal distribution. We will be handing out meals and sandwiches. I would really like a female or nonbinary volunteer to come out and be on standby! My boyfriend will be there because the last pet supply distribution got busy and I got overwhelmed. Might be a low turnout, might be a lot. Contact info on poster! Tysm!

I work agency and a school liked me so much they want me full time

I have only been doing this for about 2 months. I’m agency and honestly have LOTS of perks with that. I picked up a shift on Friday and the school liked me so much that they requested me full time. Unfortunately I am not able to do it because of my doctor’s appointments (I am disabled) but omg it feels so nice and boosts my confidence so much knowing that I’m doing everything right! ❣️ Coming from healthcare where there is almost nothing but criticism, it’s a breath of fresh air.

How to make friends?

Hey guys! I live closer to the El Monte/Arcadia/Temple City area and was wondering if there’s a good spot to make friends or maybe even connect with others online from here? Im queer so those spaces would be appreciated too. I’m one year shy of drinking age so bars aren’t an option 🥲 genuinely just looking for female/non binary friends to do things with. I really want to start taking the metro to LA and doing things like the science center and museums but don’t want to go alone! TIA

Free Pet Supplies (Dog/Cat)

Hi friends. I have posted a few times here about my pet supply pantry (Jessie's Legacy). My last round of "extra meal" bags were really popular on Facebook, so I wanted to give Reddit a chance to reserve some things first. Pickup location will be in Temple City, however if you are in need and are farther, I am willing to work something out :)

Bags include a one gallon (dog) or half gallon (cat) bag of dry food, wet food, and some treats as well. I have tennis balls at the moment if you want one for your pet. Right now I have Pedigree (dogs) and Friskies (cats) as that is what has been donated. You can also let me know if you have multiple animals and I will do my best to accommodate within reason.

My passion is to keep pets at home and out of shelters! If you or anyone you know is interested in donating, reach out to me here or at jessieslegacypet@gmail.com

Have a wonderful day everyone! <3

ISO Affordable Dental Surgery for Cat

Hi! My cat needs dental surgery likely with extractions. We go to Modern Animal but they are quoting us a lot, so I am searching for information on any places that do it for more reasonable prices in Pasadena or SGV. TIA!

Pet Supply Pantry

Repost to include flyer
Hello everyone!

I have recently founded a pet supply pantry in the SGV and we are receiving lots of requests! Firstly, if you or someone you know needs specifically cat supplies, please reach out! We have lots of cat supplies at the moment.

Secondly, and mods please remove this is not allowed, donations would be greatly appreciated. We have an amazon wishlist, however if you also own/know of local businesses that would be interested in doing supply drives I would be grateful for the information.

Have a happy and safe 4th of July!

Would a pet supply pantry help you?

Hello all!

I have recently founded a pet supply pantry in the SGV of California. If you would benefit from this, what would you need the most/the most often? I am doing my best to evaluate the need.

I am not wealthy myself, quite the opposite, but I have always been able to provide for my pets and am asking for a better perspective. TIA!

Simple Flyer for Pet Food Pantry - [HIRING]

Hello! I am the founder of Jessie's Legacy Pet Supply Pantry in the SGV of California. I need a graphic designer for a quick, simple flyer for my organization. A rate of at least 17/hr will be offered, upped if needed. To be honest I do not have a clue about graphic design rates, so please educate me if you decide to message. New graphic designers needing something for their portfolio are especially encouraged!

TIA!

Starting a pet pantry!

Hello!

I live in SGV and am passionate about community resources and animals. I moved from another state and carried that passion with me.

I was wondering if anyone knows of/knows how to start a free pet pantry in the area? Please let me know if this post is not allowed, and also where else I can post this

Thank you!

Good, affordable vets?

My boyfriend and I recently adopted a senior cat and I just want to be preemptive about his care. I’m new to the area, so any recommendations are appreciated. Anything closer to the El Monte/Arcadia area is appreciated.

Hi! I’m new to the area (from out of state) and while I am looking for a job I would love to fill my time with volunteer work. I am very passionate about community service and harm reduction. Does anyone know of any opportunities locally? TIA!

I recently moved across the country and ever since I started that journey, I have been in a major relapse. I thought it would be better here; I have a handful of cafes, shops, and a library within 10 minutes walking distance of my apartment. I have been looking for a job but no luck so far (I live with my partner and he is the breadwinner) so I am home 90% of the time. Even with my dumbphone and physical media I brought I am still on my phone 24/7. My brain fog is so much worse and I don't know how to fight it this time. I have screen free hobbies, but it just isn't cutting it right now with how much time I have.

Has anyone here overcome a major relapse and how?

TIA
