A teeny weeny weevil TIME!
First time seeing this type of weevil with very important weevil business! 🤓
Fledgling Jackdaw that has no feathers on its head. Should I be concerned?
Bird is mobile, can fly, parents responding to its calls and I’ve seen it being fed. I know that bald heads can be a result of pecking/bullying type behaviour but should I be worried? Couldn’t get a photo but will add one if I manage to get one.
Elephant Hawk Moth (Large) in my garden last night!!! 😭
My blackbird friend!
I am friendly with this male and his mate and will occasionally give them red grapes and cashew nuts as a little treat 🙂 They are quite nosy neighbours and never are too far away when I am pottering around the garden.
Why is it only putting out white leaves now?
The green ones are old, they were originally part of another plant that I propagated and then repotted once rooted.
Plant is situated on the left hand-side (if facing window) of an East facing window and across (but in the hallway) from a South facing window.
I don’t have a set watering schedule but i usually do a heavy watering (in the bath) for all of my plants every few months and then let them drain for a few hours. I do water them as I notice they are try.
Also, the original plant this was propagated from is fine and doesn’t produce white leaves. Original plant in 3rd snd 4th photos, and the 5th photo shows where the plants are situated. Potted in a houseplant mix I got online and the original has sand on top as I had flies a year or so ago and that has seemed to mostly cleared up since adding it. Thanks!
Some kind of warbler? (Scotland)
Screenshot of video in comments.
It was buff/brown on it’s back and cream underside. It had some yellow but it was too quick to decipher any pattern. South Lanarkshire today. I think some kind of warbler, perhaps willow? But unsure. If it comes back i’ll add any additional photos.
Guys I made my own diffuser and I’m excited about it (and it works)!
EDIT; Guys I know it’s not a diffuser, I couldn’t remember the word ‘reflector’ and was too excited to share knowing the sub would understand the purpose of my creation. I have a diffuser for my flash but it is not visible in these photos. Sorry for the confusion and thanks to everyone trying to help! 🙂
Pic 5 flash without *reflector
Pic 6 flash on ~90 degree angle with reflector
Pic 7 flash on ~75 degree angle with reflector
It would benefit from a section underneath the lens which I might do at some point soon but happy with it for now.
More just having a bit of fun but I’m gonna go use it now! 😂
Macro newby (not true macro)
Just having fun getting into this side of photography while I decide what lens to buy 🤔😂
Trying to choose between Nikon 70-180mm f/4.5-5.6 AF Micro and Nikon 200mm f/4 AF-D
Any recommendations would be appreciated!
Located in Scotland 🙂 found them chilling on this flower this morning and thought they looked a bit bigger than the wasps I usually see.
