Temp fix or cut or weld

This is my daily it has 224,000 miles was wondering if it’s better just to sand and prevent rust or just cut it out. Planning to replace in 2-3 years

Frankenstein seats part one prep

Hello I have a question currently working on dying the donor covers to satin black I already have picked up a dye kit pictured. And planning to clean and recondition the bottom before sanding. My question is for the felt what dye would be best or should I just leave it be. Since it will be covered by trim.

Will sanding the topcoat help?

So been using letech rejuvenation to soften and loosen the leather for these seats they’re soft however there is still . damage from sun/shrinkage.would sanding it help or should I continue to work the leather? It seems like a top coat issue
