It’s tale as old as time, the older you get, the humbler you have to be. They said that you need to play for the team because your body is no longer like it used to be. But Cristiano didn’t be humble or say that he won because of his teammates. He stood on his business from day one. People say it’s ego, it’s selfish, that he’s not even the best player when they won but did they took into account where he is born? Where he is being put? Portugal never won ANYTHING before Cristiano and his effect causes more talented players to be born from that country. Has Portugal ever been in contention to win anything ever since Eusebio retired or when Deco and Rui Costa left the team? He said he won for Portugal because he goddamn knows that he did. He double down on his skills and words and as an idol, that’s what I respected him the most🫡
