After spending 2 years in the Bangalore hustle, I recently moved to Mysore for work. While I love the peace, clean air, and lack of traffic here, I’m really struggling with the lack of "IT vibes."

In Bangalore, weekends were all about tech meetups, clubbing, and randomly connecting with strangers who are on the same grind. In Mysore, it feels like the city goes to sleep at 9 PM. It’s beautiful, but as a techie, I seriously miss that high-energy social life.

To those working in IT here: how do you deal with the FOMO? Do you feel the same, or have I just not found the right spots yet?

Namaskara Mysore Tech Family!

Whether you're at Infosys (our biggest campus), L&T Infotech, Wipro, Cognizant, or working in any of the many Pvt Ltd companies, startups, and tech firms across Mysore — this subreddit is made for you.

Mysore is growing fast as Karnataka’s next IT hub, and we have thousands of developers, testers, engineers, freshers, and experienced professionals here. But we still lack one strong common space to connect.

This is that space. No company politics, no gatekeeping — just pure Mysore tech vibe.

Quick request: Drop a comment and tell us:

Which company / team do you work in? (or "Freelancer / Remote")

What do you want from this community? (Job referrals, tech talks, meetups, salary discussions, learning resources, weekend hangs, etc.)

Let’s make r/Mysore_tech_community the go-to place for every techie in Mysuru.

Hello Mysore Techies!

I started this community because while Mysore is a growing IT hub, we often stay within our own "office bubbles." Whether you are at #LTTS, #Infosys, #Wipro, or a local startup, this is our shared space to connect.

What is this community for?

Networking: Get to know professionals across different companies in Mysore.

Information: Stay updated on local campus news, commute tips, and office events.

Career Growth: Share job openings, interview tips, and local tech trends.

Social: Find teammates for weekend sports or the best spots for a team lunch.

Drop a comment below and introduce yourself:

  1. Which company are you with? .

  2. What is your role?

  3. One thing you love about working in Mysore!
