Should I get mesh or foam for an ergonomic chair?

I have been sitting in the same chair for years and my back is starting to give me hell. I am parked at my desk for 9 or more hours a day between work and gaming, and my current chair has zero real lumbar support.

I am wondering if I should get mesh or foam, and how much lumbar support is made out to be. Also does an ergonomic chair fix posture issues on its own, or do you need to pair it with the rest of the desk setup to really feel the difference.

I am looking at Desky, SIHOO and Flexispot since they sit in a more reasonable range than the Herman Miller stuff. Any input from people who have been down this road would help.

Settled On: A Desky CoilFlex on this one. Got it $100 off on their 4th of July Sale. Lucky me!

Thoughts about footrests?

Trying to figure out if these are actually useful or if I'm just talking myself into one. After a few hours at my desk, my legs start to ache and I keep wanting to prop them up. I like being able to extend my legs but I'm not sure if that's even ergonomic.

I was looking around and saw Desky, Humanscale, and ComFiLife come up while browsing. I was looking around and saw Desky, Humanscale, and ComFiLife come up while browsing. Some just sit on the floor so you're not really adjusting your position, others rock or have memory foam, and a few look more like ottomans. Kinda silly but I almost grabbed a paver stone from the hardware store as a stand-in.

So do any of you have one of these, or will a standing desk and an ergonomic chair suffice? And for the ones who do have these, does it actually help or do you forget about it after a week?

Best standing desk for remote work

I finally hit the point where my home office setup is driving me crazy. Apart from the all white four corners of my room, my current desk is small, wobbly when I type, and there are cables hanging down the back. Would make any OCD person go crazy. Since I'm in here most days, I want something that feels a bit more put together.

I'm a WFH person whose hobby is also video games, so it's basically my full day on the computer. Two monitors mounted on it, keyboard, mouse, the usual. My back has been killing me lately from the endless hours and I figured trying to stand more might help.

Looking for something stable that doesn't wobble at full height, has presets so I'm not fiddling with it every time, and good cable management.

Budget wise I can stretch a bit if it means getting something I'd actually buy again. What are my options? Jarvis? Uplift? Desky? Flexispot? Anything else?

Ergonomic chair recs for sciatica? 8 hours of sitting is killing me

I have been dealing with sciatica flare ups for the past 8 months and sitting at my desk all day is making it so much worse.

I tried lumbar pillows and a standing desk already but nothing's really cutting it.

My PT said I need to stop staying in the same position too long and that's what got me looking at ergonomic chairs with proper lumbar support.

The brands I found were Steelcase, Herman Miller, Desky and SIHOO. Some people swear by them and others say they're a waste of money so I'm not sure what to believe.

Recommendations for a sturdy ultrawide monitor arm?

Got a pretty basic arm right now and want to switch to something that can handle a 34" ultrawide around 7kg. Mostly worried about how stable it'll be long term and whether it'll start sagging. Checked out Ergotron but that's way over my budget. Trying to stay in the $100 to $125 range.

Anyone here running a Desky, HUANUO, VIVO, or North Bayou with good results for a 34"

Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 complete with expansions + the GOG Preservation Program? I can only wish.

We already have Dungeon Siege 3 and the expansion. Now all we need are the expansions for DS1 and DS2 and it will be a complete collection. Add the GOG Preservation Program and I would play all 3 games for years with different builds.

Probably one of the best squad based Diablo like ARPGs out there.
