Is cold outreach dead?

I’m a content strategist (and social media manager/management), and I mainly help businesses and creators grow organically on insta and tiktok. My work revolves around content strategy, not paid ads or cold outreach. Personally, I’ve never relied on cold outreach to get clients, so I’m curious how it’s working for others in 2026

Is cold outreach still a reliable way to land clients, or has it become much harder than it used to be? I’d love to hear your experience. Has cold outreach worked for you, or have you found other channels to be more effective? Personally, I tend to ignore most DMs that jump straight into a sales pitch, so I’ve always wondered how well that approach actually works today

[Hiring] Commission-Based Appointment Setter (Remote)

I’m looking for a few appointment setters to help me book discovery calls with creators and business owners looking to grow on Instagram

I’m an Instagram content strategist, and I help businesses and creators grow organically through content strategy (no ads). Your job is simply to find potential clients, start the conversation, and book qualified calls. I’ll handle the strategy call and close the deal

Compensation:

  1. 25% of the client’s first payment for every client who signs up through your referral
  2. No cap on commissions

This could be a good fit if you have experience with

  1. Cold outreach
  2. Appointment setting
  3. Lead generation
  4. Sales

Everything is remote, and you can work on your own schedule

If you’re interested, send me a DM with a bit about yourself, how you usually do outreach, and any relevant experience. If it looks like a good fit, we can get started from there

Insta can now analyse your content?

So I noticed a new feature today where insta generates a summary of both posts and reels. Personally, I think this could be a pretty big deal. If insta’s AI can accurately understand what’s happening in your content, it could get even better at showing it to people who are actually interested in that topic

Insta has probably been analysing captions for years, but this makes me wonder how much deeper it’s now analysing the actual content itself. Of course, this is just my theory. The summaries could simply be a user-facing feature and have nothing to do with recommendations

But what do you think? Do you think this will help insta better understand and distribute content, or is it just another AI feature? I'm attaching the screenshot the comments

Can I revive my 2.5 year old account?

From tomorrow I’m starting a 36 day challenge on my insta account where i haven't posted anything for around 2.5 years. It’s basically a dead account right now. I’ve been putting this off for a long time because of client work, travel, and a few personal setbacks including an accident. But at this point I just want to stop overthinking and actually do it, so I’m putting it out publicly to hold myself accountable no matter what comes up

For the next 36 days, i’m going to post consistently, test different content styles, and document what actually happens when you try to revive an inactive account after years of not posting

After the 36 days, I’ll share a full breakdown of what worked, what didn't, and what actually helped bring the account back. Hopefully it helps anyone else trying to restart a dead account or figure out where to begin again. And if you’re starting fresh or still unsure about your niche, I’ll share what I learn through the process

For content formats, I’ll focus mainly on posting carousels and keeping reels minimal while I figure things out and test direction. Will update you guys on 23rd June, let’s see what happens!

Stop asking for HELP here

I want more followers, what should I do?

Stop asking questions like this without giving any context. If you genuinely want people to help you, then explain your situation properly. And it all starts with sharing your account, coz we can’t just assume how you’re presenting or showcasing your content. There’s no universal template that magically gets everyone followers. Every niche works differently. A clothing brand, fitness creator, lifestyle vlogger, or business page will all require completely different strategies.

And pls stop assuming your account is shadowbanned every time your content underperforms. Insta wants people to stay on the app. Why would they randomly suppress accounts for no reason? Shadowbans usually happen when you violate platform policies, spam DMs/comments, post harmful or sexual content, promote betting, illegal stuff, or behave suspiciously. Start with checking your account status and insights. If everything is green, you’re most likely fine. There can be some exceptions, but it can't happen to everyone whose reach is low rn. The harsh truth that nobody wants to accept is sometimes your content just isn’t good enough yet

I know people put effort into their posts, but content success is based on whether the audience enjoys it, not how hard you worked on it. Accepting that helps way more than blaming the algorithm every single time. So if you actually want useful feedback, stop asking people to DM you privately. Post your issue publicly along with your username or account. Let people analyse the content and give real suggestions. That way you get actionable feedback and other people can learn from the replies too

And mods will not remove your post if you’re sincerely asking for help while providing proper context. People can only help when they can actually see what you’re doing

Don't ask me for proof, just trust me bruhhh!

As stupid as it sounds, I see this in this community every single day. And the most common pattern? They never share the page. The moment you question them, they either delete the post after getting pushback or just ignore your comment

If you’re going to share something, then actually share the strategy. Not the same recycled advice like clean bio, good profile pic, do your research, post consistently, best posting time. That’s basic. Everyone already knows that except for complete beginners. Talk about the content. What exactly did you do? What was the thinking behind it? What worked and why? Or at least share something practical that someone can actually take away and use

Coz rn, it just feels like the same thing repackaged over and over again. And when people ask for details, suddenly it turns into DM me so you can sell something. That just makes the whole post feel like theory, not proof

I’m not even against people selling. But at least be real about it. If you’re claiming results, show the account. If you’re claiming growth, show the process. Otherwise, what exactly are we supposed to learn from this?
