In all seriousness though, we definitely needed another midfielder and thank God we got one that is actually a good prospect and can develop. I don't judge players by one season. How many one-season wonders we've seen in football? There are also one-season setbacks. And I believe he had the latter. But even then, based on his track record and standard he set, fans claim he was "piss poor" last season, and that's far from the truth based on majority of Brighton fans. He didn't have a great campaign like the seasons prior, but he wasn't as bad either as some United fans claim. With Santos being 22, Mainoo being 21 and Baleba being 21, hopefully we have our CM sorted out for the next decade. Now a couple more signings to turn this transfer window into an unmitigated success.
