Rains - work backpack

Hello, I’m looking for a backpack for work. Before I was using a waterproof model from Moleskine, now I was thinking to switch to Rains, but I am uncertain about the model.

On one side I look for something compact (I need to fit a 13” macbook air, agenda, wallet and not much more) so I was thinking to the 2 Way Tote Backpack.
However, I am not convinced about the fact that there is no zip on top. Is it really resistant to rain?

Other options I found are the Book Daypack, with a more classic design and a bit larger or the Clip Front Backpack, of which I appreciate the lateral pocket for thermos/umbrella, but I fear it might be too big.

Do you have any experience with one of these models, or other suggestions? Thank you!

New York - Boston - Montreal

Hello! I will be traveling alone (European, 29F) between New York, Boston, and Montreal. I’ve bought the Amtrak train ticket for NY-Boston and the bus ticket for Boston-Montreal with Greyhound/Flixbus. Do you have any experiences on this route? Is it safe?

Vegan Flame on the Rails

Hello! Three years ago I went vegan and one of my biggest concerns was whether I could still enjoy travelling the way I always had. I can now say yes, but it takes some figuring out!

A couple of months ago, I’ve started a travel blog where I share my experiences to help vegan travellers, companions of vegan travellers, and anyone interested in travelling with a smaller footprint.

Go check it out on Substack and subscribe if you like it, it’s free! 🔥🌱

Taste of Japan by Train

Hi! I’ve just published an article about my trip in Japan. I didn’t have much time to visit it, as I took advantage of a work trip (in Yokohama) and added a few days of holiday to see Kyoto and Tokyo. I traveled from one city to another by train and try to get the most out of it! Hope you’ll enjoy the reading and find it useful 😊 I included some recommendation for vegan-friendly restaurant as well 🌱
