They never showed us the bromance between Nomad & Walker...

Yes, why we feel so disconnected with the story is that they never created and showed us those bromance moments and the bond between two for which we don't see them as buddies or never see that connection between two. Nomad has no anger towards Walker for what he did to weaver, holt, midas and sorrow at the same time. He's like just a regular day.

Can we get eventlab feature of Forza Horizon in Breakpoint?

Anyone who has played Forza Horizon 4/5/6 knows it very well. For those who don't I am referencing to tweaking the existing map props or adding an whole new island where we can create custom maps with building, mountains, rivers, vegetation, and other such environmental props, then place enemies and create their patroling paths and play custom mission to like kill them all, collect intel or hack servers without getting detected, search and destroy enemy assets, extraction, rescue missions, etc... such mission.

As far as I know Forza Horizon 4/5/6, Crew Motorfest, and Dirt 5 had such things in context to racing. I mean Ghost Recon has the first movers advantage and monopoly in this genre and adding such map creator/editor things would bring breakpoint or future title to next level...

Just Cause 3 (Wildlands) and Just Cause 4 (Breakpoint)

The title says it all. I feel the same thing about wildlands and breakpoint. JC3 was great with the map like wildlands and some JC4 and breakpoint managed to have the same jungle type look. A part of me also thinks the breakpoint map is if Hitman 2 intro mission map on that beach was made to an entire island...

Acer Customer Service people are right or just misguiding me?

Acer AN515-58 (image is from Google of the exact model) I purchased it in September 2023.

So the thing is that my battery is stuck at 0%.

I tried all the hacks available on youtube regarding the driver deleted and updated, keep the laptop in charge for a few hours and then restart, generated the report of battery using that cmd command but it has 81% left , etc...

Finally I contacted the technician and he told me to replace the battery, i agreed and when he replaced the battery it still didn't charge and in that it cost me ₹850 (₹750 for checking laptop + ₹100 for battery order to check the thing). After that he told me that he will bring the laptop to a senior guy who will check the motherboard.

Now he says that the black chip on the right most side is not working and needs to be replaced, the left most side battery connector has some 4 layers but 2 layers are not working, also he stated it's still no guarantee that the laptop will work and also referred to data loss and the whole point is that I feel that these guys are just snatching my money and not fixing the laptop...

The thing is that the laptop is working when connected to the adapter but it doesn't charge and when disconnected from the charging it just shuts down.

I am not able to play games as the performance mode is locked and don't know whether the condition of the laptop will get worse if I work (coding and learning) on charging.

Companies for Java Spring Boot devs

Hi I have around 1.8 years of experience in java spring boot with monolithic architecture, mostly development related not interview style prep. I was searching for companies here in ahmedabad that hire java developers and work on microservices as I am getting rejected due to work in monolithic architecture, less experience and interviewers asking random questions. I am not able to find good companies that hire java developer in Ahmedabad, can you guys please list them? I am unemployed from 4 months and was not able to focus on preparations as there were few personal things happening back and forth but I was applying and gave few interviews.

Tech Stack: Java, PostgreSQL, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Spring Data Redis

Is it possible?

As we know that around 350+ cars are missing from FH6 (idk whether it's a licensing issue or they will repeat those cars in festival playlist). But the game is built on the same engine so no modder thought about like importing those missing cars in FH6, like creating a new car slot and then importing those cars as I think the physics or the car properties would work... Also no one thought of bringing offline convoy system from FH3?

Best Career Counselor

Please suggest good career counselor in ahmedabad.

Background: 2020-2024 graduate in B.Tech. IT

During college I was in academics rather than purely focusing on technical skills also my family doesn't have a tech background and 1.5 years were in online college mode, so I was not able to make connections and was not able identity what to do in career. Things passed I gained some skills in java and landed a job in Aug 2024 off campus as there were no placements, the quality of tasks in the company were more related to legacy projects for 8 months, after that a year in monolithic application in spring boot and was laid off due to shortage of projects. In this period I was not preparing for switching jobs instead of that was exploring how to code better but after this AI-assisted things getting in picture things are worst and the skills that were valued are no longer a thing. My parents told me to prepare for competitive exams (GATE, CAT, exams conducted by service based companies) but I didn't focused much on them and now regretting and totally lost confidence. I seriously need career counseling as the coding path that I imagined is not working and I am not well prepared and don't know whether I will survive ahead or not and I am not a fullstack developer (I will even delay my career if I start doing frontend and deployment as it's not my spoon that I could upskill within a year and switch jobs). I feel like Java/software engineering is not the career fit for me.

Note: I am not able to multi task, I am a slow learner, forget things often...

2020-2024 grad

Age 23 completed 24 is running...

\- It was the corona period so 3 semesters were online.

\- The main courses related to CS were also introduced late.

\- I was good in academics but there were no placements coming to my university as most of the peers and seniors flew abroad for masters.

\- I was good at java (not interview questions level depth, it's about 4th or 5th semester thing with vacation) .

\- I tried DSA (gave an entire semester to learn it but was not able to continue further, 5th semester thing) and leetcode (tried but it didn't work naturally, 6th semester with vacation as well, never went beyond arrays like the stuff i was doing was totally different, not even different pattern questions in arrays).

\- during 7th semester the academic pressure was at another level + no placements + no time for learning a framework on java.

\- 8th semester came, no job or internship around java so picked up a Udemy course and made a last semester project.

\- off campus found a company and joined it 8 months were random shit work on legacy projects and random tasks, few not even related to my tech. By now I was already depressed and struggling from home to office and office to home, no time to think just show up daily and do office work. I was not in a condition to work on myself on weekends due to random obstacles in my life.

\- after those 8 months, for a year I was working on a Monolithic App from scratch, no mentors or code reviews but was involved so much that I stopped preparing for interviews and didn't give microservices and leetcode time to learn. Was just involved to write better code and what things are involved in a long term project where there are less tech debts and code refactor.

\- Few will be thinking why not you left that company early or tried different tech stack, etc... but not everyone is so intelligent or not everyone life runs on luck were they think they will do this and boom every dart they throw will hit the exact spot.

\- Everything was just working, somehow was managing to take time and learn to build monolithics and after 1.8 years I am now unemployed, still don't have 2 years interview readiness though it's been 2 years after college. Not microservices and cloud exposure. AI thing is making it worse so starting to prepare sql and java for interviews and those technical questions and framework knowledge feels outdated or say not valued in interviews. I was also interested to learn system design instead of DSA and leetcode. But I feel I am a misfit as software engineer in java and spring boot and not good learnings and salary.

\- I am also bit jealous that other friends got lucky in a startup where they weren't interviewed and were guided to build products in microservices, cloud and mern stack (they weren't even serious about their career, they were having a chill life and were given a place to perform an even guided). Few peers are in abroad for Data analysis or data science roles, one in cybersecurity Targeting GRC analyst roles, the one who live here are in python getting paid highly for nonsense work, there was one who did mern stack from the college itself and then he switched to devops and he's doing great there.

It's 3 months now doing nothing just gave few interviews but not selected and at one place where I was selected was a .net based company starting a small team in java but they were doing ai slop code so just left that company within a week. If I would have continued there the same situation would have raised but I would have 3 or 4 years experience.

And i am now at a point where I don't understand whether I should just give up on java spring boot and pivot to what or should take a good career break and learn java for interviews, do sql questions, microservices course, and bit system design, skip dsa/leetcode (if I will do that I will again waste my time and will not be able to do great things and land job)...

TLDR 2024 grad with 1.8 year in java spring boot and 2 months gap and not able to decide whether to give up and do other things which have better returns than the input efforts or just do java ignoring the random thoughts....
