Circa Survive - House of Leaves, The A.V. Club sessions
This is one of my favorite renditions of any Circa Song.
Please listen and glaze it as much as you need to.
That said, does anyone happen to have the lyrics to the last part of the song where it deviates from the album version?
I love singing this version of the song but Anthony’s register means my old man ears can’t hear that high but I still want to be able to sing it.
Date Ideas
What the subject says. I’m trying to take someone on a date who recently discovered they were lactose intolerant.
I’d like a variety of things she can eat without having to skim through the cheeses and butters on the menu.
Any ideas would be appreciated!
Philadelphia Line Dancing
Hello!
My plan is to go to Philly in September.
Does Philly have a line dancing scene?
Or are there any places around it that I should plan on going?
I won’t be there during the weekend so Monday through Thursday stuff only please.
Anyone have an extra September 15th ticket?
Disgruntled ex?
Ex-best friend?
Anyone have an extra ticket that I can buy off of them? Maybe make a great new friend! Find a new potential ex!
Circa is playing with a bunch of bands I don’t care about out here in LA and would prefer to see only them.
I missed BSN and I don’t want to die inside twice.
If anyone knows where I can get a ticket please let me know!
Hello, small but genuinely the best line dancing community.
When I say larger, I’m 6’0 300 pounds and I love to spin. I will throw a spin in where I can. I subscribe to the “when in doubt spin it out” school of thought and I believe learning 85% of the dance and filling in the other 15% with fun and flair is part of the magic.
The summer is approaching again and I’m really not trying to dance in a hot summer again in my boots. Now, don’t get me wrong. My boots are my GOATS. I’m naturally flat footed, so the support of boots is almost unmatched in shoes. And with the bottoms being leather I’m able to spin on my the whole of the ball of my foot. Not sure if that’s proper technique but it works for my purposes.
That said, I would love to just be able to throw on some basketball shorts and go dance at the spot without having to suit up and be hot and sweat all the time. To that end, I need shoes that can hold up to the rigors of dancing.
I also need shoes that will hold up to the rigors of dancing and supporting a 300 pound man through spins, slides, and two stepping.
Everyone suggests Fuegos. However, I’ve never been suggested Fuegos by 300 pound men because there aren’t many of us walking around and dancing. And I’m trying to get the weight across because spinning is my favorite thing. Sometimes you add a little flavor to a coaster step. A little of that stank.
So much so that I will rather be hot and wear jeans and leather bottom boots if I can spin than wear Fuegos because they’re more comfortable and be cool.
So all that to say, larger people, at least within 20 pounds lower or any weight higher, are Fuego’s good for spinning at our weight? Or is there another brand of shoe that’s supports my needs?
TL:DR, are Fuego’s good for spinning at 300 pounds? Is there a shoe that is?
