[WTS] TrimUI Brick

Looking to sell this beautiful bad boy - purchased in late June so barely a month old and only used once to download the ROM and games. Condition : Mint and can be verified.

Comes with Original Box and accessories and with a HP 128GB brand new sd card - purchased separately.
You can install any OS and plays games till PS1 comfortably - have installed MuOS and downloaded TinySetGo.

ElectronicsIndia sells this for 9000 and without a branded SD card which itself costs upward of 2k.

Asking price - 8500+ship which I believe is fair considering it comes with a 128GB new card.
Location for F2F - bangalore, can ship on prepay.

Reason to sell - I bought a Switch 2 while I was waiting for this to arrive and I don’t have time to utilise both devices and I feel guilty about that as well (I guess many of us have been here).

Anyhow, hit me up if you are interested.

Which Mario to buy after Odyssey?

Edit - I have a Switch 2 and NSO subscription
Edit 2 - Nothing easier than Odyssey, I already think it’s at the baseline below which I would find things too easy.

I am almost at the end of Odyssey and I am deciding between Wonder, 3d Land World, and Galaxy 1+2.
I know they all are different (2d, 3d with side scrolling, 3d) - but I kinda don't have a hardcore preference?

How I have landed on these 3 -

Wonder - I love 2d Mario as the only Mario game before Odyssey I have played was Super Mario Bros as a kid and in Odyssey too I love the 2d parts and lowkey miss it.

3d World - This seems like a healthy mix of 3d and 2d and I have heard it's great for multiplayer too (though I play by myself).

Galaxy - Another greatly reviewed 3d Platformer and it's two games (C'MON!)

Or something else? - to avoid Mario fatigue? I would listen to you guys, new to Nintendo.

Mario to me is vibrant, easy to pick up, and fun and a great alternate when am burned out from the other 'serious' games I play.

If it helps, am not a completionist, and even though I love Odyssey I don't see myself repeating it as well - nothing about the game, it's just not me.

YSK : Dark Patterns during refunds processing.

So this has been verified over two different conversations over couple of months where I had horrible spillage issues (eg, pizza delivery but cheese, bread, toppings all separate) and raised a request for a refund.

  1. Dark Pattern #1

They dripfeed you the refund over the course of 40-50 mins. The goal is to frustrate the customer into taking up lower refund.

The product managers or biz team that came up with this idea must be feeling pretty good about not being able to innovate nor come up with a better revenue model. No wonder this is a company whose stock is continually plunging. Short term greed/outlook over building anything worth putting their name on. I hope their pillow is always hot and their lack of talent always a thought in their head.

My order was 950, they offered me 230. Then after disconnecting my call, I reconnected and escalated to their escalation team/line manager. They again offered me the same refund. By this point 20 mins have passed.

After 10 more mins they offered 400 and then 600.
30 mins have passed.
Then after 10 more mins of denying the refund and blinding pasting their apologies and ‘this is as far as we can go with the amount’ they offered full refund.
Whole ordeal took 40 mins.

  1. Dark/Illegal Pattern #2
I did not get a refund message nor did I see it on screen. I work in tech and in a similar company so I waited in case of some delay in processing request and told the executive the same. They shared a RRN but I insisted on waiting for the in app notification or a message. I have never faced any delay in both in prior cases.
Then after insisting multiple time I got a refund and the RRN number is completely different than what was mentioned earlier. So if I had left the conversation earlier, I would not have even gotten a refund???? This is completely illegal but for a company that only cares about bottom line at the expense of customer trust I won’t put it behind them.

Btw, they even once asked me to take it up on email which I refused to do and asked them to resolve it in chat, and they finally did. Again, the goal is to make the customer beg endlessly.

**Anyhow, point is be loud, unapologetic, and hold out for what you are owed. You earned this money and you should not let greedy millionaires/billionaires frustrate you into lining their pockets or fuelling their lack of ethics.**

Attaching screenshots but not as a proof of anything, this is not a social media escalation or a help post but an awareness one which I have done.

Employee resigned when am on leave

I am on leave till next week and an employee has resigned. I saw the message when I logged in to approve an urgent item.

Should I give my manager a heads up? Should I wait to be back in office next week before doing anything? This is new for me - my manager is probably not in the know.
I am thinking of at least giving the heads up to the product managers so they can plan accordingly.

Edit - Thanks everyone, will text my manager. Loved the replies, even the sarcastic ones 🩶
At this stage of my career, am just being overly careful balancing sharing information timely and having sufficient information when I share to engage with follow-ups if necessary.

If you have to buy 1 game this year off your wishlist - what would it be?

Lot of WTS/B posts, looking to have some different discussions.

For me it would be a Splatoon game - Raiders or 3. I miss playing quality shooters.

Why are there not many Sports/Racing/Multiplayer games on Switch?

I searched and found only a handful which themselves have polarising opinions.

I just want to play some casual, short session games. Sports games like baseball, archery, olympics or want something like NFS, both of which don’t seem to be available widely on switch.

I also bought NSO but there aren’t many games that involve multiplayer/online play.

Again, not saying that these games aren’t there, just a lack of titles. Especially if I remove the games with retro/older art style.

I am new to the ecosystem and I have researched but unable to find anything that fills this gap. I was hoping for Resort to have lot of games and have tons of replay-ability but it seems that the opinions on it are still mixed.

Does anyone else feel the same?
