TRS early withdrawal to pay off loan(s)
I know you get federal tax withholding and a fee for withdrawing before 60yo, but to pay off remaining student loan balance, is it a worthy trade off?

In Texas, state law says 'yes' as long as it's unloaded, locked, and out of sight and does not leave their vehicle. (And that they maintain their CCL.) So fellow admin, how would you respond?
They're aware the legal consequences of not abiding by it, 3F, etc. But how does your district handle it? There's also no law that says staff has to disclose that information, if they do have one in the vehicle.
Do any of you know anyone that actuall carries in their personal vehicle? I know you have to have a current LTC, gotta be kept unloaded and locked, hidden out of sight, etc. But does anyone actually utilize that legal privilege? State law says that school districts can't override that rule, but it seems like no one exercises that right. I never have but I am curious since I just found out about this.
Started a new randomized adventure and this was the first one I checked. BRB I'm also gonna go buy a lottery ticket.
Anyone else's game struuuugling in the last like, 3 days? My internet is fine, but CoD BO7 is having a hard time. I'm even having bugs on Zombies. But, my friends say their performance is fine?
Going into my first year as an AP this upcoming year! I completed a year long internship but am still looking to gain some wisdom from some of yall here. What would you have done your first year? What do you wish you had done differently?
May 15 I received the rec for hire from the campus principal, but have heard nothing from HR yet. Is that a bad sign or does it normally take this long?
Have you ever been so angry/disrespected by your admin it caused you to have a headache for 3 days? Long story short, I did the job of three people *almost* all year long.
No extra pay.
No thank you's/staff shout outs.
After interviewing for the vacant AP spot last week, they simply sent me a blanket rejection email. Didn't even have the courtesy to tell me face-to-face.
To be clear, I'm not upset about them rejecting me for the position, I'm upset about the way they communicated. I've worked my ass off for these people for the last two years I've been with them, going above and beyond my contract duties and even further. And after everything, all I got from them is a bullshit template email..?
At this point, I feel like just canceling all planned finals, letting the kids be on their phones, and just showing movies in class the rest of the year. (Someone convince me otherwise to keep trying.)
Let this be a reminder to all new teachers, lead teachers/IC's, DO NOT do more than you are required by contract. Being the lead this year did nothing for me except put unnecessary strain on me.
I have interviewed with many schools for an AP role and never made it past 1st rounds. Tomorrow morning, I'm going to a finalist interview with a campus from a neighboring school district. What should I expect? What do my odds look like from here?
We all know scalpers/scalping is a problem right now. And I keep seeing articles lately of stores being robbed of product, including one of my own local shops recently.
Here me now, stop targeting the small business owners that aren't the real problem.
