2016 Yamaha Bolt - ways to improve handling

My partner has a new to her 2016 Yamaha Bolt R-Spec. It's a perfect fit for her which is why we got it, but we both agree this thing handles like a tank. She'd like to improve the handling. I've done a lot of modding on my bikes, but this isn't an area of expertise for me.

What can we do to this thing to better improve the handling and make it feel less tank-y?

It currently has an H-bar on it, and I'm wondering if a lower rise straight bar might help.

My first ever Indian. I'm head over heels

Head over heels is a bad situation to be in on a motorcycle, but you get my meaning.

Saw the 125th anniversary edition in person and it was love at first sight. I couldn't get it out of my head for months, missed my chance to get one, then got very lucky when I "got the call" for this one.

I was able to snag #24. I need a name for her.

Grip recommendations for a 2016 Yamaha Bolt R-Spec

Previous owner put on Avon Metric Cruiser grips and while I know these are highly recommended, I have a few issues with them, and I'm looking for a thinner alternative.

The Puig Hi-Tech ascent grips seem like a great option that are a bit more thin, but I can't quite confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt these will fit, and they come in two lengths 119mm and 123mm. I'm unsure of which size is the right one.

Questions:

  • Anyone have the Puig Hi-Techs on a bolt and can confirm fitment?
  • Any alternative recommendations?

Big empty parking lots in South/Southwest Federal Way

My partner and I are getting back into motorcycling and want a safe place to be able to practice skills off the streets. Going to a track every time we want to practice is just not practical.

Are there any large and empty parking lots, ideally in the South or Southwest Federal Way area that could potentially be used for this purpose?

I'm thinking maybe the old Walmart lot, park and rides, church lots, etc.

▲ 1 r/Koi

Hi All,

Yes, I know this is a Koi community, but koi and shubunkins can live harmoniously together.

My partner and I have two lovely and healthy Shubunkin goldfish that are in need of a good home with an experienced koi/goldfish owner. Our ideal new caretaker(s) would have a pond or a very very large tank as these are about 5 years old and approximately 12" long.

We have loved these fish dearly, but they are now at risk of outgrowing their home and we don't have the space to be able to create a large enough environment for them to thrive.

If you're interested, please reach out and we can provide photos and further context of our fish, Sol and Luna.
