I've had an eventful month! Turned 37, and the universe delivered me a kitten as an early birthday present

This little guy found my boyfriend and I two weekends ago, two days before my birthday. He was on our back deck first thing in the morning when we woke up, all by his lonesome.

The vet estimated he was 7 or 8 weeks old. He weighed 1.8lbs at the time of his appointment last Thursday though he's growing like a weed. The vet and I bonded over our curly hair a bit at the end of the appointment lol.

We named him Runaan, which was shamelessly stolen from the Netflix show, The Dragon Prince. The name also means Pure Soul, which he definitely is. He's such a love bug and I'm so happy that he found us and joined our family.

New delivery from the CDS came equipped with a great set of whisker fireworks

I've been told by other cat communities where I shared our story about how the CDS left this guy for us last Saturday and was told you'd all appreciate his whisker fireworks.

They're certainly distinctive! I think they give him a somewhat regal or distinguished look.

I heard this community may want to meet my kitten that the CDS dropped off

My boyfriend and I moved into our house in January, and have been settling in this summer for the first time. About a week ago, I saw a white and black adult cat in our backyard, which I thought was strange as we live on 4 acres of land and don't really have very close neighbors. I called to her, but she ran back into the woods.

This weekend on Saturday morning my boyfriend got up first and I was laying in bed scrolling my phone when he came running in and told me to come quick. This little dude was on our back deck out of nowhere.

I tried to go get him, but he dove into our flowerbeds and it took another half an hour to find him. We got him set up in my office where he could decompress and chill. He was scared at first, but when my hand made contact with him he immediately started purring and just gave in to being loved and taken care of.

We've named him Runaan, which is the name of a character from a TV show we love, and also means "pure soul" which I think is so fitting for him. He's just the cutest and most chill kitten.

Today I took him to the vet and got confirmation that he's male, probably around 7 or 8 weeks old, 1.8lbs, and not microchipped. Everyone at the vet loved him and how relaxed he was there.

I'm so, so glad that the universe (and his mama that I am sure I saw last week) brought him to our family. I feel like she was scoping us out and decided we seemed like good people to take care of her baby. He's going to be so loved here.

The CDS chose us this weekend.

I was told you guys would like this.

This little guy showed up our back door on Saturday morning. We had just gotten up and my boyfriend spotted him sitting right outside of our sliding glass door, peering inside. Just like the universe had dropped him off for us to take care of.

I had seen a grown black and white cat in our yard about a week earlier but we live up on four acres of property so I figured she was a distant neighbor's. She ran off into the woods when I called for her, but now I'm thinking she must have been scoping the place out and decided we were good enough people for her baby to stay with.

We've named him Runaan, which means "pure soul" and comes from one of our favorite TV shows. The name definitely fits him as he is the sweetest little love bug of a kitten. He wants cuddles and pets first and foremost above all things, and his little engine is always running at least at a quiet purr setting.

He had his first vet visit today and weighs 1.8lbs. I was so shocked at how well he did both on the car ride and while we were there. He's definitely a chill little dude.

Update on the CDS kitten that showed up at our back deck on Saturday. He has a name and had his first vet visit!

This is a update from my previous post about this kitten showing up at our back deck on Saturday out of nowhere.

We decided on the name Runaan for the kitten. It is the name of a character from a show my boyfriend and I love called The Dragon Prince. It means "pure soul" which he definitely is.

He is such a love bug. He loves being picked up, cuddles and being close to his people. He had his first vet check up and got a clean bill of health so far though they're running some tests to rule out FIV and feline leukemia since we don't know where he came from.

He was so chill at the vet and the car ride, and was more interested in playing than anything else.

I'm so glad the universe chose us to be his parents. He's going to get so much love here 🩵

I never thought that the CDS whatever bless me like it did today!

My partner and I moved into our house in January in a really rural area where we don't have very many neighbors, so I never thought that the CDS would find us here

When we woke up this morning this little fellow was on our back deck peering in through our door. He ran off into our flower beds and it took a little bit of searching but we were able to find him and bring him in.

He's so tiny and was scared at first but is warming up to all the love he'll receive here already. Off to schedule a vet appointment first thing tomorrow!

Edit: Just realized autocorrect got my title - should read "would ever" instead of whatever. Sorry!!

Been growing my hair out for over 2 years now. After/before photos attached. Which do you prefer?

I'm wearing day 2 hair in my most recent photo (yellow polo)

My routine:

Shampoo: L'Oreal Elvive

Conditioner: Curlsmith multi tasking conditioner

Detangler: Paul Mitchell Frizz Reducing Serum - I put this in while in the shower, and then rinse my hair out.

Leave in: Being Major No Frizz Leave in

Gel: Got 2 Be Ultra Glued

I apply all of these products in the shower and give my hair a good scrunch in the shower to get the water out. Out of the shower, I apply a tiny bit more gel to the ends and then scrunch again with a microfiber towel.

Diffused on medium heat. I hover diffuse my hair on one side until it starts to build a good hold, and then flip all my hair to the other side and continue drying. When it's 75-80% dry, I flip my head upside down and cup diffuse so my scalp dries. Scrunch out the crunch once it's done.

I sleep with my hair loosely pineappled at the top of my head with a large silk scrunchy and a silk bonnet on top of that. In the morning, I take my bonnet and scrunchy out, flip my hair over and gently shake my roots out

Day 1 and Day 2 hair. It's gets crazier as the week goes on

But I really do love how I've figured out styling it so I don't have to wash it daily anymore

Been going for volume over definition lately

Also have been trying to simplify my routine.

Routine:

Shampoo: L'Oreal Elvive

Conditioner: Curlsmith multi tasking conditioner

Detangler: Paul Mitchell Frizz Reducing Serum, applied in the shower, and then partially washed out.

Gel: Got 2 Be Ultra Glued, also applied in the shower. Scrunched out a ton of water. I applied a little extra once out of the shower, and diffused it dry.
