The rear shock gets really hot and my leg touches it when i’m at a still.

And it is literally whatever makes you exit the hobby. I haven't looked at another pair of headphones or IEM since my IER M9 and AirPods Max. Your end game could be just AirPods or even cheap Chinese iem if that is the one that makes you not care about what you are using anymore. At least to me IER M9 are just the exact tuning I love and it makes me listen to music not gear. What is that end game for you and what tuning is it?
I am jsut curious to how long everybody has been riding? Anyone on here pass the 10 year mark? Has anyone been on this sub 10 years or longer ago and is still active and riding today? Just curious cause if you’re older and have been riding a long time and still ride, respect.
Edit: Dannggg so many veterans, respect. I hope I can be as fortunate as y'all.
Has anyone tried the BT Moto handheld tune for the R9? I was wondering if that might be worth it because you can easily retune it back to stock exhaust. This way if you ever do need warranty claim, you can always just revert the ecu.
It seems to have a very narrow friction zone and I just can’t get along with this as well as my other bikes I have owned. It’s just not as easy to use. I have also adjusted many times to find that sweet spot but just seems like the sweet spot is also very narrow
I think new riders are always asking for gears and basically there are a few checklist of items that you have to decide how important it is and rank them.
Protection
Style
Comfortability
Easy of usage
Weather
Style of riding
Cost
Basically if you decided that you will be commuting a lot, you might not need full leather and go with a riding hoodie with some armor, riding jeans, and riding shoes. Stuff you can use and not be annoyed at having to put on everyday, stuff you can take off and still go to work normally, and maybe stuff that won’t feel too heavy and hot in summer nor will it be too cold in winter.
I feel like most riders take these for granted because we already know then when we are shopping for them but beginners are always told to buy high protection ratings and style of ride you are going to do. But in reality, gear you will actually use is the best gear. So if you are commuting but decided to buy a full leather jacket, you might stop wearing it after a while because it’s really heavy and annoying to wear everyday to the office. A riding hoodie that’s still protective but easy on and off might be better for the situation.
Long story short, when I bought the R9, I negotiated the bike to have 2k off MSRP, no dealer fees, and I got the Yamaha extended warranty for 400 bucks. I usually don't get extended warranties cause why would you? But 5 years for just 400 bucks? I just said yes cause it is a good deal. If I do get an exhaust and tune it will void that warranty which means I should get it refunded. Though is it worth it???
