I described a type of woman I find attractive and was told I’m gross

Was in a dinner convo with my wife, a few close friends and their SO’s, and a few friends of friends.

Some of the gals were talking about how they love when guys wear blazers with rolled up sleeves. I don’t get it but whatever cool.

Convo came around to me and I mentioned a specific look I like that I’ve told my wife about before. Tall woman, chic tied up hair, trench coat where it’s not obvious what she’s wearing underneath and high heels. Idk, it’s a thing for me.

No one really cared, couple people said “I could see that/get into that”. One friend of a friend started exhaling strongly and said she thinks it’s gross I’d talk like that in front of my wife who is looks nothing like that (not tall, dressed comfortably but beautiful nonetheless). I mentioned I have described this to my wife before and she double downed and said I’m probably “gaslighting her into body issues”.

My friend who brought her along later texted that she doesn’t know where that came from.

Anyway, thoughts?

Does every sound have a “note”?

Just a shower thought, but was wondering if every sound has a note? Like obviously playing a string on a guitar or key on the piano does, but what about a single drum beat or other percussion, a person’s speaking voice, thunder?

Is it just that some sounds are at a frequency (may not be using the right word) that our sense of hearing doesn’t attribute a musical note to them?

If percussion does have musical tones, why doesn’t it clash with the other instruments?

Appreciate your insights!
