Is that much air inside a fuel line normal on an OM605.911 1994 Diesel ?

Note that the car is parked on a slope, but it has the same behavior whenever my fuel tank is half empty. What could be the cause ? And is it bad for the motor ?

Hey, I'm running into an issue. Indeed, when it rains, the driver's side floor mat is soaked with water. How is this possible ? Note that the windshield seal is especially bad on the driver side. Might it be the issue ? Or is there a clogged drain somewhere ? Thanks in advance(:
