New Update!

Does anyone have experience using this bad boy? I brought an INGCO soldering iron but was finding it very hard to find quality soldering tips (still open to recommendations) so I went ahead and brought a T12 Tip system soldering station. If anyone has had experience using this, let's talk!

Soldering wire recommendations

As recommended before, I'm getting this wire for my builds. It's 63/37 lead soldering wire which is what I've heard works best for soldering boards. Any other recommendations? I'm getting the 0.6 mm version

SAVED MY ESC FROM BEING SCRAPPED

Be brutal-

Image 1 ( In frame with wires )- My first soldering attempt. Almost made me quit my build. Cold and ugly solders. I convinced myself for a second attempt with a new ESC. Since I was already buying another one, i thought why not use the first one as an example.

Image 2 ( on table )- Same ESC. I brought a new soldering iron from INGCO. 120 watt at 500° celsius. I started by literally ripping off the top layer with pliers. What stuck to the pad, I cleaned with Isopropyl alcohol and refluxed like a maniac. One touch and the solder melted. Pushed fresh solder. Made balls. Not shiny, but something better.

Battery pads were as always, a struggle. I reattempted soldering. Cold solders. I built that. Pulled out my old soldering iron. 65 watt at 450° celsius. Used both together. Wet the pad with frest solder and as soon as I touched both the tips, the solder started flowing like water. Gently lifted both, solder stuck.

What would you rate this out of 10?

HELP- JUMPER T14

I was trying to set up my rudder input on my Jumper T 14. I initially tried scrolling through options in the source field but couldn't find the option for rudder setup. Next what I did was move the joystick left to right (As said by Chatgpt) to auto detect the input but that didn't work either. It's picking up the rest of the inputs fine but it's not picking up the rudder input what should I do I still have AIL, ELE and THR inputs buy it just isn't picking up Rudder.

POV- My soldering setup

Thought I'd share this for more clarity. As of now, I have a cord iron- Temp regulated which I use for indoor use. I brought a cordless iron today, one of those 8 watt chinese ones. I'm currently eyeing the HGLRC cordless iron but that's out of my budget. I also have a pair of precision tweezers and multimeter (trying to learn how to run circuit tests with CHATGPT). The wire that I use is 60/40 lead with a flux core. Also using a circuit cleaning liquid (clear liquid bottle). I tried checking medical shops but couldn't get rubbing spirit.

P.S.- Results on the next page are from the cord iron and the white box flux.

Rate my solder blobs

I recently failed badly at my first drone project because I never practiced soldering and also never bothered to pick the right tools/materials. This is what I am doing now. Using a resin core solder wire, the right flux, the right temperature, tip and getting these results. What do y'all think about it?

CINEWHOOP BUILD

Looking for a good 3.5 INCH cinewhoop frame that can natively support the DJI O4 PRO air unit without modding or 3d printing. The frames should be suitable for fullsize GoPro mounting

GEPRC CL 35 V2

Planning my first cinewhoop build with the o4 and this frame. Is it really worth the price? Also I want suggestions for a good AIO that is 55 amps and above.
