Whose scat is it? [Center of France]

Whose scat is it? [Center of France]

Here is a picture with approx size (yep, that's my hand for scale). Scats are scattered pretty much everywhere, especially visible on road and open wood tracks.

Scat is currently ALWAYS the same: lots of visible seeds inside.

I'm in the center of France.

Possible candidates that I often see around with my comments:

- Foxes: maybe but doesn't match my online searches. They are currently very active, with young foxes learning (I saw 3 today and 6 yesterday at the same time)

- Roe deer: we have a few around, well hidden.

- Nutria: but that's not it for sure

We have other animals but I never saw: badgers for instance. But the scat doesn't match.

Any idea?

Incredible luck for capturing these Eurasian Golden Orioles

This bird is very very very hard to see, and even more to capture on camera. At least where I am in the center of France.

There is a couple in the small woods nearby. They come back every year. It is very common to actually hear them sing.

Buuuuuut to see them is quite difficult! They fly quickly between trees and stay high in the canopy. They are quite sensible regarding their distance to humans.

But the other day, I was walking (and obviously birding) and stopped randomly trying to find a close by Robin.

That's when I saw the Orioles arriving without making a single sound on a branch on the canopy. I counted 3 orioles.

I think it may be a juvenile or a female on both pictures. Anyone, please feel free to correct me.

That may be the reason why they this specific one stayed and observed us (we were 2 people) for a short minute.

Luckily my brand new P1100 was ready to shoot.

It was quite late (8.30pm) so I was so lucky with the late light.

Le fameux gaz Co23

Plus sérieusement, je n'en peux plus de voir des gens vendre des produits et / ou services liés globalement à la défense de l'environnement tout en utilisant des générateurs IA... Dans le genre injonctions contradictoires on est pas mal.

Which SD Card for P1100? I'm lost.

Hi, I'm getting the Nikon P1100 mainly for birding, wildlife, and sometime other versatile uses. Not so much for video, mainly for photo.

But I am soooo lot in the SD card offering. I've read this sub but could not find what I am looking for (please point me to the right post if existing!). Also, as for the prices, I absolutely do not want to make a mistake.

I found what looks like an official Nikon support post regarding SD cards: https://www.nikonimgsupport.com/eu/BV_article?articleNo=000066916&configured=1&lang=en_GB but I cannot tell if it's up to date or trustworthy.

Also, looking at SanDisk website, there are so many formats :/

What I need seems fairly simple:

  • Mainly photography (not so much for video, or will be not so often)
  • 2 to 3 SD cards just to have spares / replacements if travelling
  • 2 to 3x 128Gb (or 2x 256Gb)

For other options (write speed etc...) I have no clue...

Thanks for your time!

PS: I will not by on Amazon as I tend to avoid this website at all costs.

PS2: I usually buy directly on the company website, or local trusty websites.

PS3: I'm based in France.

PS4: I do not mind the prices, I'm looking for quality stuff.
