



Lesson learned :(
(The first pictures are from mid July, the next two are from yesterday.)
Coastal Maine zone 6a-5b, “Let’s Dance Sky View” (Hydrangea macrophylla x serrata). There’s ledge pretty much everywhere on the property where they’re planted but they were planted with just enough depth I think, just deep enough to plant the entire thing up to the base of the stem. The area gets late morning sun and afternoon sun. Our house is rented for the summer and I made the horrible decision to plant new hydrangeas without being able to really water them or keep a close eye on them. Lesson learned :/ I guess I just want to make sure this is due to too much sun and not enough water.
I also planted them very close together because of ledge restriction(that was as far apart as I could plant them) but I wanted to hope for the best 😭
