There have been six price increases over seven years, with their price rising 200% since inception. I mean, this is crazy. I don’t think their library has expanded nearly enough to justify the change and, in fact, it seems like they offer way less original titles than any other streaming service. This is getting out of control

This movie looks like the most bland recycled dogshit movie reskin I’ve seen in forever and all there is scrolling my feed is post after post about how amazing it is and how we need to be rewarding original animated movies else we’ll just keep getting sequels over and over again.
Meanwhile this is just the “friends start to grow apart as major milestone looms” plot line that has given us 3 jumanji movies in the past ten years. This isn’t some spectacular original piece of storytelling. It’s the same plot we’ve seen for decades but dressed up in modern leads. Maybe the reason we don’t go see “original” movies is because even the “original” stuff is the same movie we’ve seen 100 times fed through a filter. I could say the same about the upcoming Hexed movie, uh oh an adorkable girl doesn’t fit in with the boring popular girls at school, turns out she’s the magical chosen one!!! Like this shit is not original. It doesn’t make anyone want to come see it. It deserves failure.
Nostalgia slop/remake slop doesn’t only apply to 1:1 recreations from things from the past. It’s also reskinning classic stories by changing a couple things here and there and then acting like it’s a modern marvel that deserves people’s time and money. We want actual original stuff. Look at how well inventive and imaginative low budget horror is performing lately. Give us something actually new please. I promise we’ll go see it.

Visually these two characters are very very similar to Madoka and Homura from Madoka magica. Do you think this was intentional?
To be honest the steam punk London vibe and the new characters seem really interesting and fun to me. But all the comments of everything just seem to refer to other Hoyo games and how this character looks like that character blah blah blah. Theres I think 4 big hoyo games that release characters frequently and have been around for years surely there will be similarities between character designs. And maybe it’s as egregious as everyone makes it seem.
But I for one am happy to be seeing this aesthetic and it all looks very cool and new to me and I’m just glad not to have this bitter, jaded reaction to the new character previews
