Resume help

hello! I’m 20f looking to leave my current job so Im trying to write a resume, for the first time ever lol. I wrote one in highschool for an assignment but I didn’t rlly care about anything in highschool so I don’t remmeber exactly how to do it. I’m using a template on google drive right now, and I’m just wondering how to describe the current job I’m at? I work in food service. And all the advice I see online says to put stuff down like “Excellently operated a cash register to tend to customers while maintaining a positive attitude for a family friendly experience“ and my question is should I really put stuff down like that or are employers going to think it’s silly? I know obviously u need to be professional in a resume but I don’t know how to explain my job in a professional way without feeling like I sound silly. I only work as a cashier and thats not the most spectacular job in the world yk. Idk if I’m explaining well sorry!! I just need advice on how to word a resume, I want to be professional without sound excessive. I’m looking into getting into daycare jobs and don’t want to sound too over the top but also want to make myself sound good yk

Teachers!

Hello! I’m a 20 year old woman, no experience in teachers or working with kids at all, I only have 4 years of restaurant experience. But I’ve been very interested in the idea of teaching recently and was looking into subbing to get a feel for it before I really start considering the career. BUT it’s summer, soo schools out. So what am I supposed to do? there’s no where to sub, does anyone have any ideas of similar things I can do that could get me A feel for teaching?

edit

hello! For some more context I live in southeast Michigan. I’m not sure exactly what the regulations are here to sub, but i have been looking at daycare jobs and they don’t require anything but a CPR certification that I plan on getting !!

second edit: I also wanna clarify im looking into elementary education! More specifically pre-k through 2nd if I had the choice

Back/neck pain

My girlfriend was laying down the other day and went to get up and right as she did she felt a super sharp pain in her neck and when she got up she couldnt look to her right anymore, and we later realized that her right shoulder was significantly lower than the left one. She waited a couple days and it started to go away, but a Half hour ago we were at the store and she bent over to Reach in the cart and she felt the same pain but in the right side of her back. like the mid or upper side of the back. not sure if I’m explaining good enough but the pain is terrible like she can not look to the right at all and now since a half hour ago she cant look to her left either without it hurting(tho not as bad as her right) and it slightly hurts when she looks up. she wasn’t lifting anything heavy either of the times it happened, and we’re just really confused on what it could be and are worried cuz it just went down to her back now. Does anyone have any ideas?

she said the pain when she looks to the right feels like as if you were bending ur elbow the opposite direction, just in her back. Like a lot of pressure and tension. If she looks straight she feels fine, and if she lays down she feels better. And she said a couple years ago she fell down the stairs on her butt like skidded down the stairs and lands directly on her tailbone which hurt for about a month. shes not sure if it’s related cuz it was a long time ago but just thought I’d add it

Introducing kitten to dog

I have a mini daschund, female, 11 months old about to be a year soon. And I have A kitten ive been raising since she was 2 weeks old, she’s now 8 weeks so we’ve been trying to slowly introduce them. We did smell through the door once or twice and then just started showing them each other face to face n my dog freaksss out. Shes non stop yelling and crying and jumping around crazy, when she sees the kitten. my cat doesn’t rlly mind at all she Seems curious about the dog but gets scared cuz of all the noise. It’s my dog who has a problem but I just don’t rlly know what to do, I’m gonna start swapping their blankets n stuff so they get some more of each others scent but the way my dog freaks out is making me lose hope they’ll ever get along. When we first got my puppy she lived with my gfs brothers kitten and they got along so well, they’d play together and stuff. but that was when my dog was a puppy puppy, she’s older now but she’s still not very old at all so I thought it’d be fine. Idk I just need some advice on where to go next. I’m scared my dog is high prey drive and that She wants to eat her cuz she’s so small but idkkkk idk i just need advice pls :(

Thinking of becoming a teacher

I had the idea to become a teacher monthsss ago and I gave up on it because of all the negativity surrounding the job, everyone I asked on Reddit and irl said it wasn’t a good job and not worth It at all, so I gave up. But I’m so sad because I just can’t get the idea out of my head. i was thinking of quitting my food service job and getting a daycare job to get an idea of how it is working with kids. But I’m still too scared to actually consider going to college for it. Is The amount of work put into teaching worth it? The idea of working with kids sounds wonderful to me, but I do need a real stable job that I can rely on and also have enough money to live a life. everyone always says the salary compared to the work isn’t worth it, but idk:( im In Southeast Michigan, so if anyone teaches around Here id love some advice And opinions!

okay im editing for more context

im a 20 year old female. I’ve worked two jobs both food service, and have 4 years work experience all together. I live in southeast Michigan. no degrees or certifications. i want to become a teacher because i love the idea of working with kids and being able to really teach them not just to have a stable job. I know in my post and comments I’ve mentioned a lot about salary, and I don’t want it to come across as if that’s the only reason I’m interested in becoming a teacher. I want to teach kids and be someone they can rely on and be able to make school fun for them not just hand them a worksheet yk, but i also need to pay bills, for my house, car, groceries, pets, ect. The cost of living right now is so high and that scares me to become a teacher because all u ever hear is how teachers get paid nothing. I really would love to work with kids buy am obviously not gonna just go on a whim and get a degree right off the bat, as I mentioned I think I wanna try n find a job at a daycare, then start subbing on the side. But my post was mostly asking what teachers think of their jobs, the pay/admin/students/separating work from home, ect, because I don’t even wanna consider the job if actual teachers think that it isn’t worth it yk. I have the passion to work with children and want to go try it out before I go to college but I was just looking for teachers opinion on their job is all.

5 week old kitten feeding schedule help

my kittens are five weeks old, and weve transitioned them to wet food and water. we give them 3 tps of wet food at 8 am, 1 pm, 7 pm, and 1 am, but after we feed them they meow and scream and climb their playpen as if they want more food, and since Starting the wet food they’ve been losing and then gaining weight then losing it again, it’s not a worrying amount but still they’re so small I feel like they need to just keep gaining and gaining weight not losing any. anyway I need advice on a good feeding schedule for them!! im clearly not feeding them enough cuz they keep losing weight, should I switch it to 4 tps? or completely change my schedule? Anyone else have kittens this age and what was their schedule like?

i wanted to keep them strictly on wet food, and not start dry food yet btw but idk

Didn’t wake up for one of my kittens feeding

My kittens are 2-3 weeks old not exactly sure because they were strays, and we’ve been feeding them every 3-4 hours, so I fed them at 12 pm and was supposed to feed them again at 4 am, and I didn’t wake up. I woke up and fed them right now but I’m so scared they’re too little to not be fed for that long I don’t know what to do. They’re walking around fine and ate all their food but idk I’m so so scared and I feel so bad I don’t know how I didn’t wake up. i need advice I don’t know if they’ll be okay

2 week old kitten help

Adopted 2 week old kittens like two days ago, they’re pretty healthy so far, took them to the vet and they’re doing good. the story is they were found on the street with their mother who was deceased :( and so they’re orphaned. I’m bottle feeding them, helping them use the bathroom since they’re too little too on their own rn, but here’s the problem, they try to ween off of each other as they would their mom, and by doing that they’re making each other use the bathroom, and drinking it :/ and I don’t know what to do. They’ve already lost their mom, I feel terrible separating them, but I don’t want them to get hurt. they’re drinking each others pee, and also in turn possible making their privates swollen. im asking the vet next week when I go to get them checked up again, but until then what should I do?

New kitten has blood in stool

We just got two 3 week old kittens today, we’ve been feeding them every 3-4 hours with formula. One of them is pooping just fine, but the other one (also smaller Than her sister) is having diarrhea with slight blood in it. i Think I’m going to try and take her to vet tomorrow, but I’m scared because I’ve never dealt with kittens so small before. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is It something only a vet visit can fix? advice is well needed thank u😖

Hello! I’m 20 years old and have recently been thinking of going to college to become a teacher, but I’m terrified. I don’t know if it’s a good job for me. I know it varies on the district but do you think it’s a good idea to become a teacher in Michigan? Specifically in southeast MI? How are the kids around here, the admin, and the salaries? Is it a career you think is good to do for a long time or do people burnout easily? I’m sorry I just have so many questions and I need advice :)!!

** also adding I am looking into elementary education!
