Tales of joe hueso, camilo Martinez, 24 ft x 6ft, Acrylic on Canvas, 2026
Some people paint for business. Others paint for money. For some of us, art came back as a necessity, a way to understand ourselves more deeply.
And the deeper you go, the bigger the piece becomes.
This is a massive project I started at my new studio here in Kendall. I wanted to bring all my series together into the largest canvas I’ve ever created.
With the help of my friends at Tony’s Art Frame, we stretched the canvas roll and started this journey back to my roots.
Tales of Joe Hueso brings together memories and moments from my life as a musician, from playing in the streets as a kid to traveling to the United States for the first time, and the merge of cultures and similarities between growing up in Barranquilla and living as a single dad in Miami.
I’m still here, still creating, still working toward what I believe God put me in this world to do: create, express, feel, and connect.
Sharing a little part of the process.
This piece is available to experience at my studio and is currently looking for a venue to exhibit or a collector ready to give it a home.
