For our US GenXRs, is the new American Dream to retire abroad?

I have been lucky, have a good income, saving for 401K, etc.
The retirement forecast is not good (for my personal outlook even though I’m trying to do my best) and one of the choices on the table is to move to a different country with a lower cost of living and affordable healthcare for retirement.
I only wonder, if this is me, where are all my fellow GenXRs and if this is the new reality?

Where can I find Turkish Sarma or Romanian Sarmale

Filled cabbage we prefer the Romanian version with pickled cabbage but the Turkish version would do. I’m in Lakeview East but any place works :)

Can we talk 1:2 vs 1:3?

I know all this is about personal taste but I’d like to understand where did the 1:2 started or set as the “standard”. I personally like a Rome style espresso with the right bitterness for me, not sour nor acidic (No milk or sugar). I use Lavazza Rossa to baseline other coffees (Medium roast Arabica/Robusta blend)
For me to get to my flavor profile I use 1:3 and people tell me that is a luongo. This morning I went to the online Lavazza Amazon store in the US and browsing I find these recommendations (sorry to the rest of the world these are in oz not gr) that roughly translates to
Single shot: 8gr -> 28gr
Double shot: 16gr -> 57gr
Basically 1:3.5
Sounds at some point we defined tge standard to use 1:2 or 1:1.5 with 18gr - 20gr and that to me is ok if you are mixing for a latte or americano etc but not for a straight shot. Anyone from Rome can confirm what is used in the shops?
Are there are others like me out there that think 1:3 or 1:3.5 is an espresso not an espresso luongo?
Cheers!

Great restaurants that should be full?

I’m the first one to admit we are spoiled with so much great variety and flavors from all over the world.
It feels as we are expecting greatness every time but we forget about many jewels that any other city would die to have but seem to be falling down in the local preferences or not as popular but still solid.
I recently went to Mott St for brunch, and Tanta for dinner, but the places were not packed as they used to be. Is it me or maybe is the time of the year?
Any other restaurants you’d like to have more support you consider have fallen off the graces of the influencers?

I posted this before, this is your opportunity to ask questions directly to Samsung via the Ask me Anything event tomorrow. Please read Tim's entire post before posting your question. There are more than a 100 questions posted so far, you still have time to add your question and hopefully is chosen to be answered.

Hey Reddit! Tim Waldoch here, I’ve been with Samsung for years as a National Product Trainer and have spent more time looking at TV pixels these past weeks than playing with my cats. So, I’m super excited to connect with you all on our TV lineup this year!

If you’ve seen the news lately, you might know we’ve expanded our lineup to offer new models of our Mini LED TVs, Neo QLED TVs, The Frame, The Frame Pro, OLED TVs, and even the cutting-edge Micro RGB! Some of you might be wondering, “which one is right for me? Does the brightness of my living room matter? Which TV should I get to watch my favorite sports?” Well, get your questions in now and come back Wednesday, May 6 at 1PM ET to find out the answer!

The AMA & Guidelines

As this is for our 2026 TV lineup (and you probably already know this) this AMA is for TVs only (and not for our other products or care related questions). If you need personal product support, we won’t be handling that here, but you can reach out to Samsung Support. Lastly, please keep it respectful. While I can’t promise I’ll be able to answer every question, I’ll do my best to get to as many as possible!
