A week-long wave of sightings over the water at Gosford peaked on the night of Saturday 30 December 1995, when dozens of residents and Gosford police reported a large, humming, brightly lit metallic craft hovering over The Broadwater, appearing to draw or spray water with columns of white light, before leading patrol cars on a four-to-five-hour pursuit and then departing upward. (UAP Globe) Gosford's Sergeant Bob Wenning said on camera in the 1997 documentary Oz Encounters that the station took around three dozen calls that night, and that witnesses described the same thing with no meaningful variation: a huge, chrome, ball-shaped object with large white lights beneath it that appeared to be drawing water up.
