Group of dumbass kids checking cars in central Lawrenceville right now
Broad daylight
Broad daylight
A cat was just dropped off to my house to be boarded with an obvious injury, a limp. Owners did not disclose injury via rover messages prior. Owner did tell me the cat got outside 2 days ago but came back via river messages prior to drop off.
At drop off, owner verbally explained the cat was injured when he got outside and they didn’t have time to take him to the vet before their trip and could not change their plans (?).
I kind of froze and accepted the cat and offered to even take him to the vet, to which they said they don’t currently have one. I also offered to take him to any nearby vet, they didn’t go for it, so I left it an open offer and said I’d provide daily updates on the injury and if it is getting worse or better.
As soon as they left, I messaged owner on rover and recapped the verbal conversation, confirming that they explained their cat was injured 2 days ago and came to be boarded with a visible limp. Recapped the offer to take cat to the vet at any time, they just need to say the word. Told them we could deal with repayment of the vet visit after the fact (I also have pet sitters insurance that covers client illness and injury, so maybe it could be used in this situation? )
What do I do right now. Do I need to contact rover? If I had rejected to sit the cat, they would have likely left him at home. Does rover need to be informed of this situation and if so, how to do this and how to ensure I’m protecting myself?
Her latest tik tok is her saying goodbye. I have no way to contact her, her account is locked for messages and comments. She may live near Fullerton California. DOES ANYONE HAVE A WAY TO REACH OUT TO HER? I have zero other information that could be used to help her
Super light skin.
It was detected through bloodwork test and regular bloodwork that is apparently also indicative of heartworms at his first vet visit.
I have experience with sub-q fluids, inhalers, injected meds, liquid meds, pill meds.
His only current symptom is wheezing and occasionally coughing.
Vets, what do you suppose his outlook is? I will be keeping him and giving him any and all supportive care he needs. My 3 other cats are not infected and I’ve read it’s non contagious. To me it seems hopeful he’s already 5 with no severe symptoms.
Shot in Lawrenceville. Does anyone know what this is?
