Absolutely gobsmacked that this has just happened to me. Just went into Morrisons for a double order pick up and both bags were ready and waiting for me. What on earth is actually going on? I can’t cope with this!
The bearing on my rear motor hub has degraded and the wheel was wobbling on the axle although it still worked. I ordered a brand new wheel from the manufacturer that is basically just plug and play although it was a difficult job.
The motor is wired directly into a Wuxi Lingbo Controller. After power up the wheel rotated for a second then stopped with a motor error indication on the display of the bike.
I tried the original motor in another identical bike which is off the road for other reasons and it immediately showed a motor error too although the motor was previously working fine as mentioned.
Is this perhaps a learning or calibration issue because the motor has been replaced? I previously researched this controller and could find no information about it. The manufacturer also never responded to my request for an installation manual.
The connections on the controller follow a conventional arrangement of an 8,16 and 6 pin connectors side by side. The motor sensor cable is as shown on any pinout diagrams I have found and I can measure the 5V Hall sensor supply and can see the voltage on the sensor wires changing as the wheel is rotated by hand.
Does anyone know if I need to use the motor learning function after a new motor is fitted or perhaps this particular controller is programmed via a USB interface. I have no idea what the pinout is for this controller in order to try and work out what to do next.
Picked up from my Local Maccies earlier and noticed that that the driver app prompted me to check in just like Deliveroo. I was a bit taken aback as I didn’t know this was a thing. The tag was not in the same restaurant yesterday. Is this a trial or has anyone else seen tags for UBER? I know it’s straightforward enough but why do we not get told about changes in procedure like this in advance?
Earlier this year I got invited to express interest in the UBER Pro Card. I kind of forgot about it but recently they offered me the card. I presume that lots of others got offered it too but nobody has really mentioned it.
I must say I am pretty impressed with it and would certainly recommend it to anyone else driving for UBER.
It’s a clever financial product that’s basically a prepay debit card, bank account and savings account all in one app. The advantage is that you get an instant payment after completing a delivery. Even with doubles you get paid after the first drop and then again after the second drop. This actually reveals how the payment is split when you accept a double rather than an add on job to make a delivery job a double where you know in advance how much extra you were offered.
Since the delivery fee is paid immediately into your Pro Account you have the option of transferring the money using the standard banking faster payments system to any account or person that you like. In the past I always just waited for the normal weekly payment cycle but I know some drivers want access earlier and have had to pay a fee for withdrawal. That fee has gone with the UBER Pro Card. You could theoretically pay yourself after every single job if you wanted to.
Personally I just keep my eye 👁️ on the balance and withdraw every time it reaches around 50 quid. If you decide not to withdraw the money it will stay there indefinitely or you can transfer to the savings account or alternatively use the physical debit card for your purchases.
My only criticism is that the debit card is currently not supported in Apple 🍎 Pay. Hopefully this will be sorted in the future.
The gentleman on the refuse bin was simply exercising his legal right to scale the wall after entry refusal to the PRTY Festival. It wasn’t his fault that he became accidentally intoxicated. He was however totally vindicated by the Young Team.
