Turned my old Gear S3 into a live PC hardware monitor that sits on top of my case
Simple idea. Old watch. PC. Make them talk in year 2026..
2 days later I had been inside Samsung's firmware, discovered a kernel integrity system that silently corrupts reads on modified partitions, flashed the OS onto the watch entirely, and routed local sensor data through a public internet tunnel because my router blocks its own clients from seeing each other.
The watch sits on the charging stand on top of the case now. Live CPU, GPU, RAM, fans. Animated arc gauges. Updates every 2 seconds. It looks like it was always supposed to be there.
Every single layer of this had a wall behind it. Every wall had a way through.
