Hi I recently got the cat mini 6. Mainly wanting to track their sleep and activity. And it's saying my cat has barely moved when I've literally witnessed him running up and down all day.

It's been saying he has less activity than my elderly Persian cat. Which again she's sleeping next to me and he's running laps around the garden lol.

Is there anyway to make it accurately pick up their activity better? So the minutes of activity per day are more accurate.

I have a senior kitty, 14 year old Persian lady. She can't climb much so she's allowed out in our sealed off back garden. She's always been a solo cat since my mum's friend got one as an impulse purchase and then rehomed after a week when her son kept harassing her, constantly picking her up by her face (infuriating)

We have never had another cat. She's very small 3?4kg and timid, type we have to take to a cat only vet.

Basically this huge tomcat a year ago started hanging outside our home, crying in the streets. We thought he had an owner at first. But he was very friendly and we would give him some food if we heard him crying and he would always try to befriend my cat, would spend ages flopping from a distance and staring away and slowly do it closer over time. Really wanted to be her friend. She would sit with him from a small distance. Let him walk past and if got too close she'd cry and hed immediately flop.

So I thought they could be friends. Super friendly cat. Literally never met a friendlier cat. He went missing for a few months so we thought hed moved away with his owner. Anyway turns back in covered in fleas and cuts and hungry. With some coaxing to stay in with door shut we tried track down owner. Unneutered and unchipped(keep in mind he was 6.5kg as a stray lol which is why we did not realise)

He's such a friendly lovely boy and so grateful and appreciative to be let in the warmth. Because my cat had seemed ok with him, we didn't want to re-home him as it's hard enough for cats to find a home. And he'd picked here and was hard enough to make him feel safe and now he didn't want to leave. And he's so friendly with zero aggression.

But she's struggling. There's no fighting or aggression between them and he desperately tries to be her friend just constantly flopping and wanting to be near her And we did the scent exchange and seperate areas. But she's just not fully comfortable. And he's very energetic and large lol the vet says he's about 3? But can't be sure. So he's very energetic and playful and full of muscle, again 6.5kg was his stray weight. He's probably around 6.7kg now.

Obviously it's not an ideal dynamic. Infact probably the opposite. As in she's 3.4kg senior lady who's always lived alone and he's a 6.7kg street Tomcat who's only 3 lol.

But he chose us and loves our family so much and he never has shown any aggression towards her and infact is super friendly and patient. But I can tell she's just not fully comfortable and anxious. I have the diffusers and do the joint treat sessions and everything you're supposed to.

Im just wondering if anyone's ever done this and it actually worked out? I don't need them to be buddies I just want my cat to feel not stressed. We found out she was in pain and put her on solensia which has made a huge difference, she was very anxious when he first moved in before that. But we are a few months in and they're still just not fully comfortable and coexisting easily, we are constantly having to monitor and worry because she doesn't like him too close or hides.

Again has anyone ever been in a situation where they had a senior kitty who'd always been alone, and they introduced an adult cat into the mix and managed to get them to coexist? I have time and patience and don't care if it will take a long time, I just would love to know if anyone's managed to do it successfully lol and have two happy cats.
