Need help with living room

I have added a few pictures but we can’t find a layout that works for us.

I’ll provide a little bit of details on the space. On the left side of the fireplace/mantle we have the doorway to the master bedroom. On the right side we have built in cabinets and shelves and some weird negative space in the corner. Not sure what to do with that either but I’m just trying to figure out seating first. The only place for the tv is over the mantle so that makes viewing angles for the tv bad and I want to get the seating as far away as possible so you aren’t craning your neck to watch the tv.

One side of the room is the front door and the other is a sliding glass door that goes to the back yard.

Across from the mantle is the kitchen and we have a large island with barstools that the living room backs right up to

The first picture is how we’ve had the room for a few months now and it feels the most natural to me.

The second picture has the best “flow” and we could even add a chair between the couches but it feels cramped and the viewing angles for the tv aren’t great

The next 3 pictures are how I have it right now. I want to like this setup and maybe add a chair to the open space near the front door but it feels strange and I don’t love it.

We have a leather recliner that we can add somewhere if needed and we aren’t opposed to getting rid of the coffee table or getting a new one.

I need help!

Friction Points with Apple Watch as dumb phone

I recently switched to using my apple watch series 10 as my primary device and have almost entirely replaced my iPhone.

It has been about 2 weeks and I truly already notice a difference in my mood, my focus, my ability to concentrate, and my creativity.

I do have a few friction points and I figured they are probably things that people who use all sorts of dumb phones run into, so I wanted to see if anybody had any ideas

  1. No camera. This one is tough and I am not sure there is a good way to work around it. Does anybody know of a small digital camera (like smaller than an apple watch) that can send photos to the watch or a standalone app via bluetooth or something. I have 2 young kids so I do miss being able to take pictures of them if they are doing something new or cute

  2. The lack of a good web browser is a blessing and a curse. It prevents me from being able to scroll social media BUT the lack of standalone watch apps for things like online ordering food or mobile banking could be overcome with a good browser that lets you add book marks and save login information. Has anybody switched to an apple watch as their primary device and figured this out?

  3. Battery life. I have a charger in my car and my desk so I can keep it pretty charged as I drive and work but I was curious if there are any cases with a power bank built in that people have found to improve the battery life. If this ends up being a long term solution for me, I will probably end up upgrading to an apple watch ultra for that extra bit of battery life

  4. connectivity is also not the best. I can't connect to my truck's bluetooth. I can find it in the bluetooth settings but it fails to pair. For now, I have a JBL clip bluetooth speaker in the car and I just use that to play music from the watch but that is a bit annoying. Has anybody found a way to work around this?

Thanks!

The criticism of these shoes is not completely unwarranted but I am pretty close to considering these the best basketball shoes I have ever played in.

The first wear I definitely felt the sharpness and stiffness of the tongue and the ridges all down the lace line and my pinky toe did feel a bit squished but I have realized that is a feature and not a flaw. This shoe is a performance shoe and that banana shape that everybody hates aligns the foot in a way that your feet move more efficiently. The snug fit does the same thing.

I wear a size 12 in every basketball shoes and got a 12 here and it fit perfect. The feeling in the forefoot and toes is a bit strange as it is somehow roomy and snug at the same time (there are some parts that are tight and touching but they don't feel as narrow as my way of wade 10 lows). It took probably 10 hours total to break them in but 3-4 hours of playing in them. I wore them at home for almost a full day when I got them and then have played 3 2ish hour long runs in them now. The first time I wore them on court they were a little uncomfortable and the fit took a bit to get used to but I could see the potential by the end of the day. No blisters or bleeding or anything like that but the top of my foot around my ankle and shin was a little red and tender after. Same with my pinky toe. After my 2nd run they were completely broken in and I don't even notice the fit anymore. I wore them again today and they felt amazing.

Traction is a 10/10. Best traction I have ever had. The rubber is different and I hope Nike continues to use that formula in more shoes. I am an OCD wiper. I play at the YMCA so the court is not super dusty but not perfect either. I didn't even wipe once and they were consistent throughout 3 different runs. Other shoes I have worn with really good traction are the kobe 6 protro, way of wade 10 low, nike book 1 and the kobe 8 and 9 proto. These have all of them beat

Cushion is also a 10/10. I don't see how it could get better. I am a 245 lb 31 year old football player who jumps a lot when I play and because of that I have had some knee and back pain in the past. I have been playing in the Jordan Luka 5 for a bit (cushlon 3.0 and full length zoom strobel) and those were helping a lot (also a great cushioned show) but these were next level. The zoomx drop in makes them so much more comfortable and responsive. I feel bouncy and fast and my knees feel great. Other shoes with good cushion I have worn are the Jordan 39, the Jordan Luka 5, the Jordan 37 low, and the GT cut 3, and the Zion 2. These are better than all of them

They are maybe a little heavy but it doesn't bother me at all. I am a bigger guy and I always prefer low top shoes that are more built for guards and these are just perfect.

Since they broke in, I don't notice them on feet, I can trust the traction on every step, my knees and back don't hurt, and I feel like I move better and play better with them on.

Unless you have a specific foot condition (super wide or super flat or bunions or something) I would strongly recommend you buy a pair (heavily discounted right now) and push through the break in process. You won't regret it

TLRD; Nike GT Cut 4 is THE PERFECT SHOE for heavier players that want the feel and performance of a low cut guard shoe with the impact protection of a much clunkier shoe. To summarize I would say these are a combination of the the Kobe 8, the Jordan 40, and any of the Curry shoes with Flo cushioning for the traction

My wife and I are trying to plan a trip and take her parents for the first time. We are trying to make it as affordable as possible since cost has been what has kept them from going in the past.

It will be me, my wife, our 4 year old boy/girl twins and my father in law and mother in law (6 people total).

Would it be crazy to all stay in one Cars or Nemo family suite?

I am thinking in laws in the bedroom with their own bathroom and then my wife and I on the pull out couch or murphy bed (whatever is bigger) and the kids in the other one?

My thought is that 2 separate rooms would be more expensive (even at one of the all stars) and my wife and I would still be sharing a room with the kids unless we paid more for a family suite for ourselves

UPDATE: lots of good answers already! It sounds like this is a common thing and the living area with the 2 pull out beds is not much smaller than a standard room at a value resort anyway so I think I have my answer
